We stayed here for a hen weekend in September and had a great time.|The hot tub in the basement was the highlight for us, it’s amazing!|The house is in a convenient location on the high street near lots of pubs and restaurants. The kitchen is quite small given the size of the property but it is well equipped and the table comfortably seats 12. The rest of the house is spacious and quirky and the six en-suite rooms are comfortable.||The main downside was not being allowed to use the garden at all. This was a shame as it looks lovely.|Also, you have to clean the property, take out bins and recycling, and strip beds before leaving. Not a big problem, but given the price it would be nice if this was included! |||

We have just got back from a 2 night stay here for my sisters hen do. IT WAS AMAZING!||Before we arrived the owner kindly organised an early check in for us. On arrival the house is beautiful right on the end of a really pretty highstreet with lots of pubs and restaurants. Their son, Oliver, met us when we arrived and kindly helped us with all our bags and suitcases, briefly showing us around and then leaving us to it.||The house itself is perfect for a hen do, there is lots of gold funky decor with all the rooms looking like something out of a princess castle. It is not absolutely immaculate but this was perfect for us as there was a bit less pressure in terms of drink spillages etc and was easy to decorate. However all the bedding and toilets were lovely and clean! (every room had an ensuite bathroom!)||||The roman spa was absolutely incredible! It was so beautiful - you have to be out by 8pm but this was fine for us as we were going out in the evening. They were absolutely fine with us playing our music and drinking prosecco all round it.||||The owners do live downstairs however we never saw them and it felt like it was just us! We hired a butler in the buff which the owner was absolutely fine with (I just wanted to double check beforehand) and we were coming back after a night in Bristol at 3am where we carried on the party with no problems. ||||Honestly I would recommend this so much for a hen do! Even the butler was commenting on how nice it was! ||||Thankyou for a fantastic stay 🙂 xx

Please ignore all negative reviews, this place is incredible, 13 of us stayed for 3 nights on a hen party. The house is beautiful and we had an amazing time. The kitchen has everything you need even an ice making machine which came in really handy! We were all blown away by the spa pool which is situated down in the basement which to be honest was much better than being outdoors. You do have to be out of the pool by 8pm which is fine because who wants to be in there at night when you have all day for it, night time is pub time!! The owners live on the ground floor but we never saw them and as long as you respect them they don't bother you. Definatly will be staying again ....A**

We stayed at rounceval house for 2 nights in November for my friends hen do.|Right from the start lynda and John were always helpful and got back to me straight away about any questions I had, even asking about restaurants etc and let me check in and hour earlier so I could decorate before the others arriving! |The house itself is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s massive!! Plenty of room for everyone! |I didn’t realise until I got there that they live downstairs but we didn’t see them and left us to it for the weekend!|Their son olly came and did cocktail making for us on the Friday night and everyone loved it! So much fun!! |The hot tub in the basement was AMAZING!! And could fit lots of us in it!! |Everyone had such an amazing time and I couldn’t recommend the house more! Perfect base for a hen weekend. |We also went to amigos for dinner on Saturday! Was delicious! |Thanks so much for helping all the way along with my silly questions! |If you want a lovely house in a quieter village rather than being in central bath this place is perfect!!

One of the nicest venues in the area. Stayed here with my family a few weekends ago and had a an amazing time. The owners were superb and really helpful throughout our stay recommending the nicest places to eat and drink. The house itself is finished off to a really high standard, very luxury, clean and oozes quality. Would definitely recommend for a weekend break 🙂

I sat down with my bridesmaids and together we selected this venue which was truly lovely in pictures, the selling point being the grounds and the hot tub. Neither of these were disappointing.||However, the rest of the properly left a lot to be desired. What they don't tell you is that the property is actually split into two, one half for the owners and one half is rented. There is no issue regarding noise levels as the seem not to be bothered but they don't let you use the grounds just in case you are noisy.||You can't park on site because it's a shared drive with the neighbours and there is minimal on road parking nearby before 7pm due to the little street of shops so be warned, we all struggled to park and we have 7/8 cars between us.||The property is strangely decorated and is in desperate need or a revamp but it's not horrendous. The kitchen area doesn't work if you have large numbers but we managed to have a three course dinner, prosecco pong and a cocktail making class in there - not at the same time of course. ||We had 15 people which was easily ok for the bedrooms but it did mean people had to share double beds but we didn't realise. ||A massive perk was the free mini bus into Bristol and back! ||Overall rating - ok for making weekend away a bit cheaper.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in the nearby villages. The room itself was quirky (room number 9 with the curtained off bathroom) with loads of space. We found we had to open the windows when we arrived as the weather was warm and listed buildings do hold the heat! This did the trick and when we returned the room was a pleasant temperature. ||On to the snags - parking, I have noticed a few reviews extolling the virtues of the off-road parking, well we didn't get to use it mainly because a few people had parked quite selfishly taking up lots of space (maybe some space designators might be an idea). This wasn't too much of a problem initially as we were able to park right outside when we checked in but it took us some time to park when coming back after the wedding reception and we ended up parking a distance away.||The breakfast - don't get me wrong breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked but it would be lovely if it was served a bit later at weekends (especially when you have had a late night at a wedding!)||Room number 9 - the toilet that is only curtained off wasn't a problem in terms of awkwardness but I was rather worried about waking up my other half when using it in the early hours of the morning - however there was a shared loo just outside the room which it was possible to use instead.||Finding the place - it took us a few drives up and down the high street to find the hotel as most of the promo photos are of the back of it - not a big thing but something to bear in mind when planning your arrival.||Overall a pleasant stay, probably would have rated it higher if we had been able to park in the car park.

Lovely old building and good facilities but a few niggles. We were top floor and the ceilings were quite low. I'm 6'2. Mostly it was fine but the shower was tricky to fit in. The WiFi is very slow but I know the challenge of fitting it old houses so understand that. Main problem was the heat. It was hard to get the temperature down. One small window and a tiny (really tiny) desk fan were not enough.

The location is great though, and the car parking is very useful as it's so limited round that area.
