Would highly recommend after our recent stay. A warm, clean and comfortable home from home. Everything you would need is available and more! Lorna even welcomed our (uninvited) puppy into her own house when Lotus opened the gate and walked in! Garden is a great size for dogs to roam around and have the zoomies!! Had a lovely relaxing time in the hot tub and, unusually in Scotland, it was too warm to need the log burner on (logs are provided)! Look forward to our next break.

I am 62 years old with a wonderful wife and two teenage daughters. We have done a lot of self catering holidays but none compare to this magical and intimate little lodge with the perfect hostess Lorna.
The facilities Inc amazing Wood burning barn bbq and luxurious hot tub are only accentuated by the beatify and panoramic views from the lodge itself.
Lorna’s attention to detail in cleanliness and friendliness are second to none.
This is a fabulous lodge that we have vowed to come back to with or without our kids.
Just to add to our pleasure, every morning we were visited by an array of birds including woodpeckers to our delight.

The perfect holiday lodge, beautiful location, lovely host and absolutely everything you could need! A real home from home.

It was so nice to arrive to the warmth of the stove and a great welcome hamper. The lodge was beautifully decorated throughout and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed every minute, from relaxing in the hot tub, to sitting by the woodburner on the cold evenings. I also enjoyed watching the wildlife come and go, the woodpecker was my favourite!

The area has some fantastic dog walks, St Cyrus beach was definitely my dogs favourite!

We will absolutely book again and look forward to our next visit, highly recommend!

Highly recommend a stay at Rowanlea Lodge. We spent a week there & will definitely return in the future.
Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, great attention to detail, welcome hamper for us and the dog to name a few. Great spaces for families to relax - in the hot tub, sit out the front with a cuppa for sunset or by the barbecue. The garden is fully enclosed so could relax and let the dog run about.
Lorna was a lovely host, welcoming & friendly & gave lots of information on various places of things to see & do.
Location was perfect, quiet with stunning views & not too far away for day trips. We visited Lunan Bay, St Cyrus beach, Ballater, Craig o Mount & Stonehaven.

I’d been looking to book Rowanlea for some time and when we arrived and got the warm welcome from Lorna it certainly didn’t disappoint. The location is great, 5 mins walk from pub with lovely food, dog friendly too. The garden was fab our dog loved it. Bird feeders to attract all the wildlife and was a joy to watch from the window or patio. We were blessed with good weather and spent our evenings sitting out enjoying the view. The lodge was well equipped, very clean and cosy with the log burner. High end finish. Not to mention the hot tub/bbq area, the whole package. Highly recommended and hope to return. We had an amazing time. Thanks ☺️

This was our second stay at Rowanlea and we're sure it won't be the last!
We were 2 couples, an under one year old and a small dog and we were all very well catered for! Lorna couldn't have been more helpful and left us a lovely hamper of goodies. The views are gorgeous and we even spotted a woodpecker on the bird feeder. The wood burner and hot tub made for a cosy perfect weekend away. Highly recommend!

We have just spent 5 days here. Lorna is a fantastic host with great attention to detail. The lodge is beautiful with luxury furnishings. The beds are very comfortable. Loved the extra little touches like the breakfast hamper and dog bowls with treats and poo bags! Thanks for a great stay and will defo be back ❤️
