We were heading to a family surprise birthday party and could only stay one night so booked just a room as we were setting off home pretty early the next morning. We were met by Alison who was super friendly, explained everything to us and also told us if we did wish to have breakfast in the morning,as long as we let her know that evening it was fine. The room was overlooking the sea front and was spotlessly clean.Filtered water in the fridge along with milk tea and coffee etc. Absolute gem of a place with super comfy beds. What more can you ask? Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely two night stay despite the miserable weather! The room was lovely and spacious, comfy bed, 2 armchairs looking out to sea. The breakfast was excellent and Alison was very friendly and looked after us very well. If you like walking it’s a decent but close enough walk into Berwick, and plenty of places to visit within driving distance. We would certainly recommend.

Fabulous hotel, lovely rooms, comfortable beds. Our room faced into the sea front which was nice to sit and watch the waves. Shower was one on the best I’ve had. Breakfast was amazing thank you chef. Graham and Allison were the perfect hosts. This is a great bolt hole for exploring the surrounding areas, will definitely return.

This is our the first visit to Northumbria and Berwick.||We have been driving over 200 miles for 5 hours and felt very exhausted.||All we needed was just average service and a average warm room to spend the night in and not get frozen at the night. However, we could not get even such basic service needs.||First of all, there is no elevator. Therefore, a person in a wheelchair will not be able to get to the room, there all the rooms are on the upper floors.||Secondly, the stairs are very narrow, it is difficult to climb them with heavy bags.||Thirdly, when you come to the room, the heating is supposedly working, but in the evening and at night, the owners turn off the heating completely and the room becomes very cold. We tried to draw the owners' attention to this, they said that in other rooms the guests were wearing T-shirts and that others were felt warm. So basically they just completely ignored that the fact that we were in outerwear in the room. They promised to increase the temperature from 22 to 24, although in reality the room was no more than 14-16 degrees, maybe 18 at most in the day time. And their thermostat is on the first floor, where it may or may not be 22 degrees. Aparently this is not about the thermostat but about them not willing to provide quality service to their guests.||For a while the heaters did turn on and warm us, but then we woke up again in the middle of the night realizing that we were freezing again. The heaters in the room, in the bathroom were cold and in the corridor too. Maybe guest are expected to bring a portable heater with themselves or avoid this guest house because it's really very cold here. My auntie made a brilliant photo of the cold window from the room.||I do not recommend living here unless you have a portable heater with you.||||Also, we wanted to pay in cash, but they already charged the card when we checked in, not when we checked out.||When we tried to ask why they took the money on the day of check-in and not check-out, they were rude and told me that I was the first customer who complained about freezing in the room. And they started threatening to call the police and started kicking us out, even though we hadn't even taken our bags out of the room at that time.||Usually when landlords fail customer expectation, they apologize and try to win back the customers trust but not in this case.||Instead of apologizing for not being able to provide a basic quality service for such a price, they were rude to us and told us that we were rude.||Unheard of rudeness. I have never seen such unheard of rudeness in any hotel or guest house. Yes, and they threatened to ban me from bed and breakfast hotels. I haven't been to other hotels in this area yet, if all hotels have such a rude attitude towards customers, then maybe it's for the best.||These owners should not be in the hotel business unless they can't provide quality service for the money they charge. Also, the owners shoudn't be rude to customers or should quit the business. Alternatively, they should learn how to conduct business and communicate with customers. If I pay £113, I expect to spend the night in a warm room, not in some place where it's as cold as a kennel and freezing like a puppy in a kennel.||At the entrance to the parking lot, there is a huge pit in front, to which we damaged our car. Be attentive and careful.||I am unpleasantly impressed by such a rude attitude, I do not recommend it to anyone. They kept calling our reviews as fake and fabricated even though we paid for the service that we didn't receive. Our reviews are our genuine experience from this place.

Our room didn’t have an ocean view but it was clean, plenty of tea coffee kettle etc. we walked into town for dinner ( nothing near here) about 2kms each way.
Our breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Alison is a generous accommodating hostess.
The roomy bike shed if fully lockable.

Had a lovely nights stay here. Booked a king room with sea view which didn’t disappoint. We were invited to a wedding at a nearby hotel but all rooms were fully booked there. Beautiful breakfast cooked to perfection. What more could you want?

Had just a single night's stay at this wonderfully appointed guest house. We stopped on the way going further up North and were bowled over by the lovely location and extensive coast line. We are coming back again in 2025 for some more of that beach and amazing breakfast!
