Seems a nice place but went there for a car meet. There was a small bar outside which was handy as had a dog with me. I only had a sprite and packet of crisps which was expensive. Great venue for small car gathering but don't think car park is big enough for a large gathering. Very pleasant area.

Had a lovely evening meal for our anniversary, nice touch with to have a bottle of fizz on the table on arrival on the house.
The food was exceptional and a lot of it too.
Dan and Charlotte looked after us and made us feel very welcome, thanks to everyone for a special experience

I really loved the amstophere and the staff were so friendly and made me laugh so much. Debbie was so sweet and really made the environment lively. I was asked nicely if my food was okay and I genuinely loved it all so much. I would definitely come again next time I get the chance. Thank you so much for the amazing service and environment 🙂

We had been doing some walking locally in Wyre Forest and decided to go for a meal, we had seen this pub on way so I initially tried to book a table whilst out and about - no luck, it kept telling me that the table I had chosen had just been got by someone else. After trying different times for about 10 mins I gave up and thought we would take a chance and pop in on way past. We got there and we really shouldn't have worried, loads of space! No idea what the website was doing.. !

We ordered food fairly swiftly and it didn't take overly long for food to come out. A couple of the meals were a bit larger than expected, which with a growing apetite I think was a welcome surprise. Food quality was generally OK and service was OK too, although considering the lack of people in the pub it did on occasion take a bit of time to grab attention for another drink, or to get more sauce for kids etc.

I think we were all happy to have stopped by for food and a drink, so it all worked out well in the end! Kids also got to have a short go on the play area at the back - but it was only a small area!

My wife and I came to visit the pub for an evening meal last night and despite booking, when we sat down and read the menu, we were told that the main dish that we would’ve liked, was sold out. Chose another dish and that was sold out, and two further dishes the we would have had were also sold out so we had to have a common denominator that was actually available to eat. Took a bit of time to arrive, but It was itself satisfactory. My wife decided to have a pudding, and asked for the trifle. We were told that it was not available as it had sold out. This was in an evening on a weekday so, choice of meals they are offering for sale are clearly not matching up what they are physically purchasing which is very poor indeed. We
attended the second night as we had booked two nights, and my wife and I elected to have the steak and ale pie which we ordered. Two minutes later we were then told that they only had one pie left, so my wife ordered a rump steak. It arrived and was as tender and tasty as a pair of Dr Martin boots. It was exceptionally tough. It was returned and my wife was left with an alternative that was available, of some chicken which was quite nice and management gave it free of charge and rightly so under the circumstances.
They seem to lack consistency with food availability in the evenings as yesterday, we were told that both pies would definitely be available so we were very disappointed, when only one pie is available.
Not an ideal situation and would not return to the pub again, as there would be no idea whether there was any food available that we would like to eat. All rather disappointing and if you have a menu option that sells well, the idea is that you buy a lot of that because you know that you are going to sell it. Not continually run out of it and then disappoint customers.

Had two lovely meals, the hake really was so enjoyable, just wish I had more. But that’s because I’m greedy it was honestly so good. But the ladies serving us were really friendly and engaging they made the night for us. Nothing was to much trouble and they even wrote us a happy anniversary message on a board with our deserts. Such a lovely place and lovely people. Thank you Running Horse

Party of 3 arrived unannounced on a Saturday afternoon when the pub was super busy due to the wondwrful weather. We took our drinks in the lovely, serene beer garden and waited while they had capacity to seat us.
Our food was immaculate. Flavour balance was great across both the starters and mains. The textures, temperature and plating of the food was superb.
I can highly recommend this wonderful and personality filled pub. Utterly delicious and wonderful service.
Thank you very much for making my early evening such a highlight.
