We spent a couple of nights here. Jenny who runs Rutland house, has just the one room having had a career in the hotel industry. It's a good size room with ensuite. Very well kitted out with a fridge, TV, free wifi and parking. ||||In the room is continental breakfast so you can just help yourself. There was fruit, yoghurt, cereals, milk, croissants, fresh coffee and a microwave. ||||The room is a good size with a double and single bed plus small area for the kitchenette area and a table and tv area.||||For us we wanted a base as we were spending a weekend fishing and cycling at Rutland Water but at the same time we wanted to be able to walk to a local pub in the evening. Rutland House is very well located literally 5 minutes walk (if that) from the centre of Uppingham which is a lovely village.||||We had evening dinner in the Vault pub (very nice food) on the Friday, and then chinese takeaway on the saturday.||||my other half often stays here when he goes fishing at Rutland water.
