Sainsbury's Café is located at William Frost Way, New Costessey, Costessey, Norwich NR5 0JS. It is more than a coffee shop because it offers main dishes such as " All day breakfast, both ordinary and vegetarian choices; turkey roast dinner; cod and chips...etc" sandwiches, coffees. I tried a "Flat White" which is very tasteful. Plenty of tables with very large seating area. Open view. Toilet provided.

Overall good and bad
Had an all day breakfast two things I didn't like was toast pre buttered as it ends up being soggy, prefer to add butter myself also the bacon was tastless, but the rest of the breakfast was very good.
The place looked clean and tidy, if not a bit sparse.
Went back a second time and the breakfast was nowhere near as good as the first time.

Seems to be only one person doing anything, lunchtime wait for food 30 minutes, after queuing for ages to be told that I'm a bit miffed. this cafe is a bit of a disgrace to the sainsbury name in my opinion

Food is adequate, even somewhat tasty. It is prepared quickly enough (a lot are stored frozen) although as some other reviewers have stated, they really need someone dedicated to preparing the drinks.

The issue we had was with the cleanliness. The floor was dirty around the tables (they had cleaned the high traffic areas but neglected where the seats/tables were), food on the blinds, cutlery never properly cleaned and old food debris found in cutlery trays.

Update:
Came back and unfortunately it's worse. It's not busy at all and yet *every* empty table we went to was dirty. About 5 spoons left in the cutlery tray and all had food remnants on. Is it a lack of staff or management oversight, I don't know.

Jacket potato barely warm. Beans cold. Grated cheese dry and very little, salad was outer bitter leaves ,some gone off. Dreadful meal

Terrible cafe. About 10 tables taken out of approx 30. 90% of them already eating, yet told it would be a 30 minute wait for food. Had a toastie that had a greenish blue spot on the cheese. Didn't want to wait another 15 minutes in the queue to rectify so scraped it off hoped for the best. As mentioned, 15 minutes in the queue, one person taking orders and making drinks. Bet the staff here are very unhappy, they certainly look it. Terrible service and food expensive, kids deal £3 for cheap sandwich and crisps, tiny drinks. Wish we just got meal deals from downstairs and ate in the car!! Would have been happier. Won't be back.

We love it here, it’s affordable and delicious! Highly recommend the tuna baked potatoes and the all day breakfast. The hot chocolate is brilliant! Great service, great food 😄

Only soya milk available as an alternative milk, and the coffee itself had a fishy taste 🤢
Waited about 5 mins to be served with no queue ahead of us. Unhappy looking staff. Grim vibe overall!
