The hotel is very nice and decently priced. There is a very nice and large bar and restaurant downstairs with the rooms on the floors above. The room was nice, very clean and aesthetic - no complaints. The bathroom door was a sliding door, with a bit off a gap, and therefore not very sound proof if that's an issue for you. ||We were delayed check in by an hour as there was a hold up with the delivery of the linen sheets. Though not ideal, the receptionist gave us a few free drinks as testament to their hospitality, while also allowing us to check out an hour later.||Overall very pleased, and would definitely choose if I need a hotel in B'ham again.

We spent 2 nights from 11.10. to 13.10. in room 103 (with window to the park and very noisy till early in the morning), after we were previously offered room A1 (window to the courtyard and directly in front of the noisy and smelly ventilation system of the kitchen). The room itself was clean, but the window could no longer be closed properly due to an additional wooden strip, resulting in an approx. 8cm deep gap in the middle, through which cold air from outside was drawn into the room. We raised the heating from the 16° centrally set by the hotel to 23°, which meant that the warm air flow triggered the smoke detector several times, making it almost impossible to get the room to a comfortable temperature. Furthermore, the shower drain was completely blocked with hair, so that the water ran into the room when showering. Finally, on the day of our departure, we were told that we had to pay a bill from the bar of just under £9. Unfortunately, we hadn't ordered anything from the bar and nobody was able to answer the question of what exactly we were supposed to have eaten there. The promise that we wouldn't have to pay the £9 turned out to be a lie on the way to the airport, however, as I was then told by my credit card provider that the money had been charged to my card. A subsequent phone call with the renewed promise of the manager on duty to refund the money was again not paid. We recommend everyone to book another hotel!

Friendly team and a nice pub on the ground floor. Rooms need a bit of a facelift, mattresses replaced and there's a bit of a smell in the bathroom. Price for the night was very competitive. Elevator doesn't work and looks like it hasn't for quite some time.

The location is amazing for jewellery quarter and bullring Shopping. Lots of amazing restaurants nearby and the hotel restaurant and bar are fabulous. Set in a lovely square with trees squirrels and an old church. Had a slight room issue but it was sorted for us. Only little thing. Please allow more tea / coffee / milk in the rooms.. ?... We are coming back soon xmas shopping.

Place is perfect, great location, loads of parking and looks great. Inside it’s also fab. Great bar and lovely staff.|Slight issue with check in - no issues resolved and given a free drink.|Breakfast time - go elsewhere - what a shambles. Poor lass on her own, no-one else had a clue. 30 mins for pastries to be ‘cooked’, breakfast did not arrive after an hour, despite ‘it’s coming in 3-4 mins’ prompts. Real shame as it did almost ruin a great weekend. Sort the breakfast thing out and it’s an easy ‘Yes’ every time that we visit Brum

I didn’t actually get the opportunity to stay here, as the front desk manager refused to check me in because I was traveling with a service dog. This was despite having all necessary documentation. When I informed her that this was both illegal and discriminatory, she deflected and gave me the runaround saying no dogs allowed. I was too jet-lagged to argue further having travelled for over 24 hours. She made no effort to help me find alternative accommodation either. Do not recommend.

Good location, the rooms are nice but it seems like the walls are made of paper, you can hear everything and everyone can hear you. On the day we left, we got overcharged because we booked on booking.com, and we got the room really cheap, and they didn't know even though they had already accepted the booking and took the deposit.
