9TH APRIL 2025

‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby Neil and I to an eatery where we have not been to previously.
We ventured into Town to a Bistro called ‘Sakan’ on Sankey St.
The restaurant was pristine and our server was a lady named Aneta, this lady was lovely and smiley, very polite, friendly and professional…..
It wasn’t too busy at the time we dined there so food waiting time was literally cooking time.
We both ordered the same which was Eggs Benedict and steak…. This was layered up with…..
Two toasted muffins, finely chopped tomatoes and white onion…… sliced medium rare lean steak, with two poached eggs, smothered in silky Hollandaise sauce, garnished with cress, Nigella seeds, black pepper, the plate was drizzled with chilli mayo with added pearls of tiny biquinho sweet peppers…..this was accompanied with a dish of lightly salted crispy potatoes….
This whole dish was SO PERFECT, I didn’t want it to end…

I’ve never had Eggs Benedict before but I’ll never forget the first restaurant I tried it in…….
We both said that this is probably the best restaurant we’ve been to yet on Wandering Wednesdays.

Massive compliments to the Chef, whose name is Pawel…..Who has a gift in cooking…. Fault could not be found at all, it was totally delicious. SIMPLY PERFECT and thank you.

This place is a definite MUST TRY….
It goes without asking if we’ll be back!…..

P.s……Happy birthday Chef Pawel🥳🥳🥳🥳….

Please note: if paying via card, tips cannot be added to the bill, so please take some cash as a kind tip gesture for the staff.

Had seen this on Facebook and decided to try it out.

Greeted and seated very quickly by a friendly member of staff. Didn't have too long to wait until they came to see if we were ready to order.

We had Shakshuka and a Halloumi & Turkish sausage sandwich. Both were really good, very tasty and with the Shakshuka was bread and some whipped feta dip. The lamb in the Shakshuka was tender and tasty, happy I went for the lamb version but would have still been great without. The sandwich had avocado in too and it all came together in a great tasting sandwich accompanied by some chips.

The portions are not massive but just right for a lunch. Average price for something that tastes so good. The menu was very varied and also had a many burgers in offer.

I dropped a knife and by the time I had bent down to pick it up we had been provided with a fresh set of cutlery, that is really good service, not something you see that often.

Will be back there again and if I can avoid just having the same again, with it being so nice, I will attempt to sample more of the menu

Been here twice and it was fabulous both times! The food was great. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend their chai latte with a shot of espresso.

Me and my best friend go here every single week, the food is outstanding. We come here that often they know us now… not to say the welcome wasn’t as good when we weren’t regulars. Best spot for brunch we’ve ever been too. Great portion sizes, great people and amazing food.

It's one of my favourite restaurants in Warrington. The staff team and chefs there are always cheerful and passionate. When you walk into the cafe, you will immediately feel relaxed. The atmosphere for dining is great and comfortable. I would highly recommend you to try their Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon and also their Hot Mocha which always make you feel energetic after having a bite. The cafe also sells house blend coffee beans which exactly the same as the ones used in their Cold Brew which this house blend is worth to buy back to your home for making your own filter coffee or cold brew drinks.

I hope you find my positive review helpful
I struggled to rate a lot of local eateries and was worried about calling in here for breakfast.
I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome. Given plenty of time to decide and given recommendations on the menue options.
I chose the morrocan lambe eggs ben and wow it was great. Such a wonderful combination of flavours and presented well
I would definitely recommend and I plan to visit again soon
Thank you

I absolutely adore this place! Every time I visit, Pawel is always ready to recommend a different dish for us to try, and Aneta serves our coffee with a warm smile that brightens the day. The atmosphere is inviting, and the food is consistently delicious.

However, there’s one thing I miss: the specials that were offered before. They allowed us to experience something new with each visit, adding a sense of excitement to our dining experience. I truly hope the specials will make a comeback soon!

Overall, I highly recommend this bistro to anyone looking for a delightful meal (starting from breakfast) and a welcoming environment. It truly is a magical place!
