I have been hesitant to post a review, because whilst there were many issues in the run up to the day, on the day Salted Orange were amazing. The food tasted great and looked amazing as you can see in the photos. The service on the day was amazing and beyond what we expected.

However in the run up to the day, it was a nightmare. I genuinely was concerned we weren't going to have catering for our wedding. Which isn't what I needed 2 weeks before the wedding.

Due to not having been to our venue before, they requested to visit, which was fine. My husband got in touch with the venue, and copied Salted Orange in. Salted Orange then sent an email asking for available dates and we presumed all was fine as we heard nothing. Thankfully we have a friend at the venue who told us about 2 months after this that they hadn't heard a thing.

We discovered Salted Orange when sending the email asking for available dates didn't copy in the venue. Now that is a mistake and is fine, but for us it was frustrating that they didn't think to contact us upon not hearing anything for so long. We only found this out after my husband called up Salted Orange after multiple emails from myself were ignored, as I was concerned as I was expecting a request for the final invoice.

For me what was frustrating was throughout the entire process, my husband and I were made to feel like we were lesser in some way. We had to chase everything, such as the tasting and it felt like we were very forgotten about. Almost an afterthought.

My final frustration was that we never got sent over terms and conditions, yet when we had to reduce numbers due to many guests being unable to make it, we were told we couldn't go below 90% of our original count. The only terms I could find online for Salted Orange stated it was 80%, so I thought (wrongly) it would be fine. The numbers hadn't changed drastically from the tasting either (went down by 3) and nothing was mentioned then.

So all in all, the food is great, the organisation and before stages not so much. Maybe we just were unlucky, I don't know, but due to the past disorganisation I was very scared they weren't even going to turn up on the day.

Salted Orange supplied the Catering for our wedding in May and they were fantastic throughout.

From curating our wedding breakfast menu to the superb service on the day they were a brilliant from start to finish. We were invited to a tasting session where each dish was thoroughly explained along with the various alterations that could be made to adhere to any food allergies.

Poppy and Dan were so understanding and organised throughout the whole process and they were able to swiftly deal with any alterations we had and they were only ever too happy to help which really alleviated any potential stress.

The service on the day was perfect with the catering team were very attentive and on hand to handle any request promptly and professionally.
I would highly recommend the team for any wedding day.

The organisation of the menu and communication was outstanding- Poppy was so accommodating to all our needs. Salted Orange provided catering for our work's Christmas Party and it was excellent!

We had around 40 people with a mix of dietary requirements so they helped us put together a grazing table that was suitable for everybody with both hot and cold options. Very good quality food, delivered to us on-site with plates, napkins and disposable cutlery too. What more could you ask for?

Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to cater for their events.

We used salted orange for our wedding in October 2024, and wow completely blown away by the food. It was absolutely divine and all the guests were giving compliments on how delicious the food was. I had a lot of specific requests and they met every single need, I am also forever grateful for you catering specific foods for my mum due to her health needs.
