A pleasant one night stay. Room was clean and very quiet. Bed was comfortable and a lovely spacious bathroom. Had air conditioning too which was certainly a bonus. Perfect having the restaurant and bar next door.

We went for breakfast at the Waterspoon restaurant, and overall, it was really good. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and visually appealing on the plate. However, our positive experience was slightly dampened by the behavior of one of the staff members. During our meal, someone started vacuuming near our table, which was quite unpleasant and disrupted the atmosphere. It would have been much better if such tasks were postponed until after the guests had finished eating. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in the overall experience.

Pleasantly surprised. Lovely mix of buildings which made up the pub. Friendly staff. Very comfy bed and hotel room very clean. Good value and great location in the town. Good mix of shops 2 mins away surpasses our expectations and so much nicer than the value chains as all individual. All round good value would definitely recommend.

The Wetherspoons Hotel here was first rate. Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable attentive clean and in truth a step up from our usual Premier Inn. The food, drink and service was also good in the Wetherspoons. HOWEVER...there is no parking. DO NOT get caught like we did. Aimlessly looking for parking we drove up to St Benedicts Court Shopping Centre Roof Top parking looking for a suitable parking. We were unsucessful and it's not suitable for parking for the hotel. We were only on the roof top for 6 minutes till we found this out...Ask me how I know? We got done by the robbing lot at 'Parkingeye' to the tune of £60! Park in the railway station car park. Short walk and it's reasonable and safe enough. Have a good stay!

Stayed here for a couple of days. Easy walk from train station. Beautiful buildings. The hotel is nice and cosy rooms and omg the bed was so comfy. The food in the wether spoons which is part of the hotel was lovely and service was excellent.
Thank you to the lovely gentleman manager that helped me when my bus got cancelled and called a taxi for me. He calmed me down as I suffer anxiety. He went above and beyond.

I'll be visiting again soon and thank you again.

We have just came home from a stay at Stanford House Hotel. |The hotel is very clear, the bedroom was very large and the bed was very comfortable. |You get tea, coffee and water in your room. |Our stay was very enjoyable. |I would recommend this hotel as the price is very reasonable. ||The only downside side is that the hotel does not have any parking on site. We parked at the strain station and it was only a 5 min walk from the hotel.

Lovely and clean room, felt very new. Free teas and coffees in the wetherspoon pub. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. massive bed, which is good as we had to share. Would have preferred two twin beds, although very comfy. Would definitely stay again..

Great pub, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and fantastic value for money!
