Wendy, Dave and Andy are excellent hosts. A family friendly hotel. I took my family consisting of one adult and 4 young children ranging from 13 to 2 years old.|A good range of breakfast items cereal, toast, fried breakfast and juices too.|Room was lovely and beds comfortable no complaints from myself or my children. Wish we could stay longer. But have to go home to reality. Thanks for having us all. See you next time.

We had a pleasant two-night stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, being close to the beach. The host was very caring and friendly, and the food was delicious. Overall, we had a positive experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

The staff were very lovely and catered to all our needs.
The place itself is very old fashioned, the rooms could do with some refurbishing but for the affordability I can’t really complain. The weather was really hot when we went so the rooms were very stuffy with no ventilation.
Location is excellent a short 15min walk to the beach and shops.
The breakfast was fine, very basic and smaller in portion so don’t expect too much. The takeaway continental breakfast was very basic snacks. Would’ve been great if there were options for the help yourself/Buffett choice - there were only a few plain cereal choices and yoghurts.
Overall it was a nice stay and a good choice for the affordable price.

On Vacation here great experience
Friendly staff, Great room service, Breakfast was great, Egg, Bacon, sausage (meat,veg), beans. It Was great right next To Sandown Beach, Train Station Excellent Experience Would Book Again.

What a wonderful warm welcome we received from Dave, Andy and lovely Wendy at the family run Sandhill Guesthouse. Our superior king room with en-suite bath and shower was spotlessly clean with the added advantage of an amazing view of the island. We were given a daily breakfast choice sheet which we completed daily. The full English consisting of sausage - pork or vegetarian, bacon, black pudding, egg - fried or scrambled - beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown with toast - white or healthy - Lol, brown! There was also a lovely selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit juices, tea and coffee too. We chose our options the night before and they were cooked freshly the next morning at the time you had chosen to eat. The breakfasts were outstanding! |There was also a licensed bar to enjoy an evening drink. They also welcomed you to order food in if you didn’t fancy eating out or had had a long day and provided plates and cutlery. Basically, nothing is too much trouble! |We can honestly say that our week spent here was made more enjoyable by our hosts. |There is a little sign above the reception desk which reads, ‘Enter as strangers, leave as friends.’ We certainly feel we have! Thank you Wendy, Dave and Andy. We will return x

Location was perfect, 5 mins walk from beach. Great shops and restaurants nearby. Perfect view of countryside from room.

Hosts were friendly and nice, however there were no hooks in the bedroom. Also the bathrooms were never cleaned and beds not made, only bins changed, and towels (when needed). Breakfast nice, but not a large selection of continental food; croissants and fruit.

Our superior king room with ensuite bath and shower was spotlessly clean with the added advantage of a fabulous view across the island. We enjoyed our freshly cooked breakfasts and they accommodated any of our requests too. Over the week we spent there, it certainly felt, home from home. They have a lovely little bar too. A little sign at reception says 'Enter as strangers and leave as friends' - we certainly did! We will be returning - that's for sure. Thank you.
