I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sandman Signature Hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience overall. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a lovely ambiance at the reception, which set a positive tone for my entire stay. The check-in staff were amazing—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my time there.

The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after a long day. However, one downside was the lack of windows in the rooms, which made them feel a bit closed off. Despite that, the quality of service more than made up for it.

One of the standout features of my stay was the breakfast experience, particularly thanks to Mellisa. She went above and beyond to ensure that all guests felt comfortable and welcomed. Her warm demeanor and attention to detail truly enhanced my mornings.

On the flip side, the gym is half operational and many of the machines not working, I also did encounter some bar staff who were not as friendly, which was a bit disappointing. However, this did not overshadow the overall positive experience I had at the hotel.

We were very disappointed, the first room we got was not cleaned well. Hair on the bed, crumbs on the sofa, no shower gel/soap and especially milk in the minibar from other guests! The staff was very friendly and helped us, they immediately gave us a new room. But in my opinion this room wasn't ok either. The ventilation is very loud even when switched off, the bathtub and the silicone joints look catastrophic and the shower head was completely calcified and is even starting to rust! The water doesn't drain and the fitting for the shower head is broken, which is why the bathtub looks like that! The cupboard is broken and the only sliding door doesn't work, at least fix the worst with WD40?! In this room too, the shower gel hasn't been refilled and the "ventilation" in the bathroom is full of dirt (dust). Sorry, looks much better online than it actually is. I definitely expect more from a 4 star hotel! As I said, the staff was friendly and tried to help us. It's a shame that we weren't asked again during our stay whether we were satisfied, not even when we checked out and I think that's bad, you don't feel like you're being taken seriously. I work in the hotel industry in Switzerland, this is intended to be a constructive criticism. Take a few technicians and a cleaning team and get the rooms in good condition. It takes a bit of oil, paint and motivation and everything would be much better. Thanks for everything anyway!

I had a long stay at Sandman Signature Gatwick, and was very satisfied with my entire experience. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with a fridge, kettle and microwave. The hotel area and lobby was plush and welcoming, there is ample parking space, and the breakfast had a great variety of options.||For leisure, the pool was very reasonable, though the gym had lots of broken and outdated equipment.||Overall, I highly recommend the Sandman Signature and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, especially Adriano at the reception, and Marissa and Bijay at the breakfast restaurant who always had a nice smile and were ready to help.

I've stayed in many hotels and this is a good one. The parking is easy and although not free, it is cheaper than other comparable airport hotels I have visited over the recent years. I would like to thank the concierge staff at the Sandman hotel, Eva and Adriano, who have been great during my brief stay.

THIS HOTEL DOESN’T CARE ABOUT IT’S GUESTS.

I am here for two months as I have got an insurance claim on my home.

I was originally in room 708 but was disturbed by what I can only describe as a fan from the restaurant,

I was moved to room 414 and twice in a week I have been disturbed in the early hours! The first time was the dustman at 6:15 in the morning. This morning I was awoken by somebody with a recycling truck at 4:26 in the morning and again at 5:45 by a bin man..I put my shoes on and had a row with the driver while in my pyjamas.

This hotel has air crew staying with it. I can remember during my flying career staying in a hotel in India with an early check out the following morning to operate back to the UK. There was a party on the beach and yet the noise was like it was in the hotel will be at the party was half a mile away. I got up and went and dealt with it. The hotel was useless.

If I was operating a flight and was disturbed like this, I would have my company cancel the contract because you need a good nights sleep before you operate a flight. It’s for safety if nothing else.…

The driver told me that this is what had been agreed with the hotel!

This is completely unacceptable. Speaking to reception they say that they cannot control the lorries!

Really?

This hotel clearly doesn’t care about its guests because if it did then it would not allow lorries on its premises at silly times of the night disturbing their guests.

Their conduct is utterly contemptible.

Relatively close to the airport located hotel with big rooms and good breakfast. We had a dinner (3 kknd of burgers) that were good. We also used the ppols, which was relatively small but nice and clean. They did not have an bus shuttle service though (one of the reasons I booked this hotel), and a taxi ride costs between 18 and 25 pounds - if you use the ones they have a deal with (metrocars) it is 18 pounds. By default, they don’t housekeep the room every day but that was not important since we only stayed one night.

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS GUESTS.||I am having an extended stay here because my house which is less than 2 miles away is subject to an insurance claim and currently uninhabitable.||There have been at least six nights now where my sleep has been disturbed by both the recycling company and the bin man. I’ve bought this to the hotel’s attention, but they have done nothing whatsoever about it because they. DO NOT CARE.||I have done a company search and I will be writing to the UK director of the company.||In addition, the television keeps on pixelating and consequently is unwatchable. Again, I have reported this issue on a number of occasions but nothing has been done about it.||On a more positive note, the staff in the restaurant are fine as are the housekeeping stuff. If it was just down to sleeping then providing I’m not disturbed, the room is absolutely fine.||The problem is leadership with management not knowing how to manage. But then, should I really be that surprised when I have a meeting with the general manager and he’s wearing a ridiculous Christmas Jumper.?’ The lack of professionalism and standards says it all.
