Came with friends on a coach holiday. ||||First impressions were very good, great position and lovely staff.||||Sadly the room didnt make the same impression. A very, very small shower which I dont think had seen a good clean in quite sometime. The black mould in the grout and silicone needs sorting. The black dirty shower hose needs replacing. I wouldn't touch it as it was pretty grim. Nowhere to put shower gel, shampoo etc and you have to squat in the shower to pick anything up as absolutely no room to bend! Rest of room was clean.||||I felt like I was either about 7 or 70 years old looking at the portions sizing of food that were served haha! Breakfast was a spoonful of scrambled egg but you could have a poached egg or a fried egg, one sausage, one bacon and a spoonful of beans. You would get toast which was always cold and floppy. You could have cereals or porridge for starters but after trying the sawdust type muesli I skipped it.||||I would add that they were very accommodating when I requested some vegetarian sausages but still only served one at a time!||||I can't completely knock the quality of food as most was good but don't have the mushroom stroganoff. Tinned mushrooms in a watery cream sauce that had been slightly flavoured with something||||I also didn't like the unisex toilets. Lets just say that some male aims were like they'd been target practising!||||If this place was updated it would be lovely and if the food was improved I would return.

Beach is over the road . We have just returned home from a 5 day coach stay . The food was ,well the braised steak just melted in my mouth .The standard of food is good apart from over cooked fish .Breakfast is excellent and the dining room is waitress service with lovely waiteresses . We had entertainment each night although after a long journey we missed Monday night . Our bedroom was close to the bar area but the enertainers finished at about 10.15 p.m. The room itself was not easy to get around more so on the side where the sink is . The toilet and shower were seperate and small ,not easy to climb into the shower however I found that if I left the en-suite door open I could get into the shower easily . Everywhere inthe hotel is immaculate . There is a garden area at the front . There is a bus srevice runs along the road in front of the hotel and most other bus stops are in easy walking distance. Definately a hotel that I would return ot .

Just spent Christmas with a friend at this hotel, it was fabulous. Lee and Shauna are great hosts and are accommodating to residents needs. We loved all of our Christmas break, food is excellent and little extras provided on Christmas Day, stockings on the room door, little knitted animals with a chocolate inside and a present from Santa. There was also fresh fruit, nuts and chocolates each day to help yourselves to. The rooms and bathrooms are small but clean. Staff are all friendly. There was entertainment every night. A thoroughly enjoyable Christmas for both of us.

We have just returned from a 8 day coach holiday with GeeVee travel and have loved our stay at The Sands. Shauna and Lee are great hosts who will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible as are all of the staff who are polite and friendly. The meals are lovely and a good variety for all (even myself who is a very picky eater). The hotel is straight across the road from the sandy beach and our room (Miami) had a balcony which had a view of both the Culver cliff and the sea. We would highly recommend The Sands and hopefully will be back soon.

Wow! What can I say? It's so different to when I was last here 15yrs ago. It definitely looks much much larger and the layout works well. The rooms are larger than I expected and have what you'd expect like en suite, tea coffee etc etc. Bar and entertainment every night. What more could you ask for? I recommend big time
