Stayed here because we were attending a wedding at the nearby Pear Tree.|We were greeted by a lovely lady who booked us in earlier than expected .|The room was very comfortable and the shower was great.|TV, tea and coffee and an iron with board if required. |Breakfast was served in our room at a time specified by ourselves which was delicious. |Parking was easy and would highly recommend this establishment for any nearby events. |Tip:Book any taxis required in advance .

Unfortunately we didn’t actually get to experience our stay that was booked, as we had to cancel due to myself needing emergency surgery. |They were penalising me for having to cancel anyway by charging the cancellation fee and refusing to even discuss it with me. However my issue wasn’t the cancellation fee, it’s the attitude and disrespect I’ve received from the staff. |When I emailed they were ignored and when I called I was greeted by an extremely rude gentleman (if you could call him that, with how he behaved!!!!) he refused to let me speak to a manager- I literally had a question to ask, and I was being incredibly polite despite how they had ignored several of my emails - he was telling me that his time was too precious to even speak with me and I was a waste of time. He also was extremely rude to my husband when he asked his name and then the lovely gentleman hung up on him. |I am completely disgusted that this place is even allowed to run with such awful attitudes towards customers! Keep the £100 and maybe take a course on customer service!

A total nightmare. stay away. work in tourism since 1992 this hotel is all a joke. actually a nightmare! I complain after 5 minutes they gave me the room that I wasnt expecting a room with a single bed and a shower that is so little that I cant even fit inside and internet is not working at all. she replied I will fix internet. i was expecting that they would change my room. internet never worked. Place is collapsing and in need of a big renovation.

such a nice find, living in France we wanted a real 'english' experience. We were not disappointed. This old school has been nicely maintained keeping the 'old style' in the bedrooms and bathrooms, quirky but thoroughly appreciated, lovely old fittings and decor. The food is so nice too, sensible portions of freshly homemade dishes, a good variety too. (The home made fish fingers are a must!!)|We will recommend this delightful place to our family and friends. looking forward to coming back.

Fabulous greeting both on the phone and on arrival. Everything about this place deserves a big tick compared to the corporate hotel I’ve just arrived at next day in Telford. I will be returning here without a doubt. Visitors to this establishment need to respect what it’s all about. Breakfast was fab.

We stayed at The Schoolhouse Hotel for one night in April. It is located in a rural area on the outskirts of Hook which is close to Royal Wootton Basset. |We had a friendly welcome and shown to our room which was comfortable and clean but very dated. There was ample room to set down our suitcases and plenty of wardrobe space. There was a kettle for hot drinks, room safe, iron and ironing board, tv but no telephone in the room. |The bathroom which was also rather dated had a shower over the bath. There were nice thick bath towels and a few toiletries in dispensers. As we were leaving very early the next morning they gave us our continental breakfast that evening to eat in our room. |We met up with 4 friends on the arrival evening and had dinner in the restaurant, which is in the old school classroom. The food was fine and nicely presented.

Some might call it old, but we call it traditional and charming. The welcome was fantastic. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The local "sightseeing service" provided by the owner was simply exceptional! She made us feel welcome, she accommodated our slightly annoying dietary requirements, and she provided us with an excellent place to visit en-route home. I also overheard her having done this the day before and again today for another couple. They were very pleased with her suggestions, as we were with ours. Thank you.
