Mike and Sam were hilarious and so hospitable. The best service we had in all of Scotland. They even went out of their way to make sure I could eat breakfast (food allergies). The room we booked was big and easily fit two adults and a child.

I should have thought about the farm thing first because I'm super allergic to cats, and we happened to be in the room the cat loves 😫 I had a hard time sleeping because of my allergies, but again, I should have thought about the whole farm thing. We also didn't have enough warm water for each of us to shower at the same time, so I got the cold shower.

Even with all of that, it was a five star stay! They're wonderful hosts. We had so much fun here, and they even gave my little one a special gift at breakfast when she told them she had just had a birthday.

Sometimes it could be easy to go overboard about somewhere you've stayed, but this place is absolutely something else, Mike and Sam (the owners) have nailed the hospitality at Scooniehill and nothing is to much trouble for them. You sometimes go somewhere and feel like you have to creep around the place Whispering but Scooniehill is so chilled and comfortable you could almost be at home. We went for my wife's 60th birthday which was mentioned briefly when I was booking directly with them. (No booking fees👍🏻) And couldn't believe it when we arrived and there to greet us was a massive cake, homemade chocolates made on site and a bottle of prosecco to greet her.|I've stayed in hundreds of places all over the world including the high end, pretentious ones, but Scooniehill which doesn't pretend to be anything it's not is 100% the best for me. Will be revisiting definitely in the very near future. 5*|Well done Mike and Sam

I can honestly say having stayed in B&Bs all over the world, this place is the best yet. Sam and Mike the owners are an education in hospitality hosting. The phrase "above and beyond." Wouldn't really do them justice. I went for a 1 night stay on a golf trip and was that impressed I took my wife back 2 weeks later on a long weekend break. Its a lovely homely place in a great peaceful location and then as if you think this couldn't get any better Mike makes his own chocolates on site, which you get to sample on your arrival. The beds are great, the rooms are spotless, the showers great, and the breakfast is fantastic. If you are travelling up anywhere near St.Andrews you could do no better than to book Scooniehill. Sam, Mike youve nailed it. We'll be back.|Ged and Pam 👌

Such a beautiful location, rooms are beautiful and the bed was like a giant marshmallow. Hosts Mike and Sam are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them. Can't wait to go back ❤

Genuine hospitality with a touch of humor. Tasty breakfast, delicious chocolates, and pleasant scents. Comfy bed with a beautiful view of Andrew’s Bay.

Sam and Mark were congenial hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms were well furnished, clean, spacious and well stocked. The complementary bar of chocolate from chocolatier Mark’s workshop was exquisite - a nice little touch which shows their attention to detail.||These guys certainly push the boat out to make guests feel welcomed. Beds were comfortable. ||Price was very reasonable considering the close proximity of St. Andrews.||Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Just spent a lovely couple of days in morag the shepherds hut Sam and mike are a wonderful couple who will make you most welcome the hut has all the amenities you need for cooking and awesome bed with TV nearby the breakfast was something you'd expect from a 5 star hotel hospitality at it's very best hopefully be going back soon

The B&B was incredibly cute. The room had a seaview, was super comfortable and everything was spotless clean. There were little chocolates on the bed and we had an really good snackselection. Mike and Sam, the hosts, were super nice and gave us lots of tips on what to do/see. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our whole trip. We highly recommend staying at Scooniehill and would love to come back.
