The restaurant is very cute and well decorated but the food wasn’t up to the standards. The lasagna given to us was basically drowned in oil, which was told us to be “juice”. When we asked to change it, we were told that it wasn’t possible. The food tasted old and microwaved. The meatballs were hard and tasteless.

The cakes we did have weren’t that nice at all.

Service was awful. 10 mins wait at the counter to order. Staff were there but I couldn’t order with them, I had to wait to order with the manager.

I had to go in to ask again for cake as we’d finished our drinks already. I had to remind them what we had ordered … guess what … they didn’t have it. So given something similar.

Cake was £6. I know prices have gone up but it really was bad value.

Owner outside petting dogs and I’m not sure he washed his hands before going back to serve food.

Lots of food in the cafe left uncovered (jacket potatoes, sauces, cakes) and near pet birds in cages.

Toilet doors broken in the gents. No hand driers in either toilet.

Really, I wish I’d gone with my gut and left before I’d ordered. In a busy tourist town with so much choice, don’t choose this place. Truly awful.

Hidden coffee shop in Bakewell. Good choice of delicious cakes. Has outside and inside sitting.

Visited for lunch today, i had a tuna salad and my partner had a chicken ceasar salad....the food was fresh, delicious and extremely good value for money. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely call there again if visiting Bakewell in the future. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

Absolutely fantastic. Sat outside in the sunshine, just like being abroad.Excellent reasonable priced menu which is brilliant as my wife is gluten free and struggles in some restaurants to find anything suitable.
The staff are so kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Would certainly recommend. This place is a hidden gem and we will so be returning.

We came to this cafe based on the looks in the garden area which looks very inviting.
The staff aren’t friendly and it’s also very expensive. I paid £5 for a milkshake which came from a cartoon and lacked flavour. We came as a party of 3 and we all had issues with our orders. I asked for chicken and Avacado sandwich and got served just chicken. When I went to tell them the man said ‘5 seconds’ and put 3 spoonfuls of store bought guacamole and passed it me. I could only eat half the sandwich as the chicken was brown and unappetising. My friend said she saw chicken in a tray in water under a heat lamp. My friend asked for sourdough gluten free bread and when it came she was told ‘sorry we didn’t have brown bread’ and was given a white sandwich with 3 pieces of bread, one which was crust. She asked for goats cheese Italian antipasto and got antipasto and grated cheese. Another friend ordered an iced latte and was given a hot latte which was sent back and she was brought a ‘iced’ latte which was watery with melted ice (tasted like the original latte was poured into a cup with ice). Would definitely not recommend there’s lots of nice cafes to go in Bakewell instead.

Waited 20 minutes for drinks. They were to-go but made in mugs. Then poured into tiny cups once they realised they’d made a mistake so most of the coffee wasnt poured in! Weak drink and it took too long to make after they said it’d be 5 mins. One server was nice. The rest seemed rushed and unfriendly. People make mistakes but they should have better customer service (re-make the drinks!). Other people complained about slow service and the place was super cramped. Wouldn’t bother going again. They need fewer tables and to focus on providing a better experience for guests

Tucked down a little side street, this cute cafe catered for our needs beautifully. The gentleman that served us (actually the owner, it turns out), couldn't do enough for us and was very welcoming and hospitable. We would highly recommend this place as a stop off for a coffee and a snack, and it's dog friendly.
