Relaxed stay on Sunday, for one night. There are signs of wear and tear and although the room was mostly clean there were cobwebs around the window that had been there for some time. Occupancy was low so perhaps they are struggling to maintain higher standards. This didn’t detract from a peaceful stay. We enjoyed food in the bar as the Restaurant wasn’t open as we were told there weren’t enough guests to make it worth while. Service was very good and we were a little late checking out and they were very relaxed about that. Breakfast is a buffet only but there is a good choice of hot offerings, cereals fruit and baked goods. The grounds are pretty and well maintained.

A very nice hotel.
Went with wowcher & cannot complain for what we paid.
Where else can you go for a room,a three course meal,breakfast,a swimming pool,jacuzzi ,sauna,a gym & free sky sports for £99 for 2 adults?
A very welcoming hotel & on arrival given 2 free cocktails too : )
The food was very good & such a nice choice,also if you have kids or a vegetarian.
Nice portions & we were so full.
The room was quiet, a nice size with a bath & shower,so glad we took the bubble bath,with plenty of hot water.
The bed was a king size, so comfortable & we slept like babies.
The staff were so friendly & helpful.
We will be returning for sure.
Maybe 2 nights next time,if the wowcher deal is on.
There is also a tennis area but I forgot to ask how you can play.
It's a great base to visit places & if you like walking there is sywell country park & some other reservoirs.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Pleasant room with a comfortable bed. Restaurant food - main meals were very good. Had nacho starter which was possibly the most disappointing restaurant food I have ever been served. A cold bag of nachos has been poured on a tray and squirted with ketchup and cheese sauce from a bottle. That is it!!! The chef should be ashamed of himself. Nachos is hardly a complicated dish. Do not under any circumstances have the Nachos. Even the waitress told me they were terrible.
The sticky toffee pudding is more like treacle sponge.
Apart from that, would recommend the place.

We recently had our wedding at Sedgebrook Hall in the Elm Suite and it was amazing. Helen & Rebecca were so helpful from start to finish. They made sure that everything went to plan on the day and we were so thankful for them. The chef was great with dietary restrictions as we requested everything to be gluten free (coeliac) & dairy free due to allergies. They were so accommodating and nothing felt like too much. If you're considering this venue for your wedding, we highly recommend it! They made our planning and our special day a lot less stressful. The venue is stunning too, so it's excellent for photos! Huge thanks!

Lovely venue, pleasant and helpful staff, average food, comfy beds and good cleaning services. However, while the rooms were pretty standard, the bathrooms lack any kind of magnifying/shaving mirror and the lighting was poor which made it difficult to apply make up, the TVs are ancient and not up to the normal standard found in most hotels today, and there are no fridges in the rooms making it difficult for those of us who using meds that need to be refrigerated or that like fresh milk in tea and coffee. The hospitality tray in the rooms are a bit lacking in choice, too..a sachet of hot chocolate or similar would be welcome. However, for the price, it's a good value basic hotel. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues..lots of steps and no lift.

We stayed in the modern wing. For what we paid the value was excellent and the food very good. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. It is in the middle of nowhere , but we stopped enroute 1 night to somewhere else so this was fine for us.It looks to be a place that probably hosts quite a few conferences

Had 2 nights at hotel our second visit, it's very clean the staff are very pleasant, the food in the restaurant is perfect, the bar as a good choice of drinks and are not over priced. The TV in the both rooms we had is very large and makes you feel at home. Free hot drinks during the day.
Well done to all staff and I'm sure we will be going back before the end of the year.

Booked a one night half baord get away as a birthday treat for my daughter. Wish I'd booked 2 nights tbh as the stay has been wonderful.. We arrived and were greeted warmly at reception, check in was easy and receptionist was informative and helpful. We booked dinner at check in so we were guaranteed a table in the restaurant, some people did not book and had to eat in the bar. Our room was clean, bed very comfy, was not a lot of disturbance even though we over looked the cat park.  We decided to have a swim well a bob about as the pool is not big enough to swim in, enjoyed the jacuzzi and the sauna afterwards..it's not the biggest and I am sure the leasure favulity would feel full if busy but we timed it right.  Dinner was amazing. Glazed maple chicken was wonderful and my daughter had the burger which was a huge homemade patty with bacon jam. Deserts were lovely, so was the cheese board. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoughly enjoyed our meal. As we were half board we had a total of £29.00 each to spend any extra cost over this and drinks you have to pay for. We had 2 mains, 2 deserts and shared the cheese board which put us £3 over our allocated amount to spend. We also had a glass of.prosecco and a coke, these I thought were a bit on the expensive side. Breakfast was lovely and good selection of cooked, cereals, fruit and pastries. Bacon and sausages were lovely. ||I love the eco ethos of the hotel. Wooden key cards and door signs, free hot drink stations were an unexpected plus. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the whole place has a lovely sense of calm. ||I enjoyed staying here so much I have rebooked for easter weekend. I think sedgebrook hall is a good budget price and value for money and I have stayed in far more expensive hotels and not had the great experience I have had here. Looking forward to returning. |
