Wonderful stay. Hotel clean and comfortable bed. Room serviced daily. All staff good but Waiter Mark and lady, didn't get her name, were so professional and very friendly. Entertainer every night and bingo except Monday. 4 drinks vouchers every day as travelled with Caledonian Travel. I have mobilitity issues but all my needs were met.|Would definitely return.

Just arrived home last week after a great holiday at Shanklin Beach Hotel. We were there for 7 days with Caledonian Travel. I wasn't really looking forward to it given some of the reviews however was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly, Hotel was clean, food was really good and nicely presented, entertainment every night. Overlooking Shanklin Beach which is lovely and plenty going on. The only thing that let it down was the room. Room itself was fine but bathroom was tiny and you had to climb over the sink to get in and out. Room 118. Didn't spoil our holiday and would have no hesitation in returning

Was only given one option per night for someone who was a gluten free diet. However I didn't have a special diet but unfortunately food was cold and milk was warm on a morning. The two days we were their we ate out. We paid extra for sea front sadly the windows in our room never closed. Bathroom was tiny with uneven floor. And wall was dirty.

Excellent location and really helpful staff

Rooms were clean and kept stocked with tea, coffee and clean towels.

Food was plain but harty and served quickly.

For its price it's Excellent I think. I'd recommend it.

This hotel needs a lot of work. The room and communal areas are clean but very tired. The bathroom although clean wasn’t really fit for purpose. The shower was just a trickle, the toilet cistern took ages to refil, the sink is very small and the taps are too close to the sink. |We had our bed made every day and bins emptied. |The food was ok, some days it was good with plenty of choice, other days not so. Breakfast was good, cereal, main breakfast and toast. Lots of coffee and juice. |Entertainment every night, bingo and a singer. |I would stay again, hopefully In A different room. |The staff are marvellous, they were polite, pleasant and always helped with a smile. They couldn’t do enough to help.

Lovely large family room allocated for two of us, clean with beautiful large towels and bed linen. Shower hadn't much power, TV pixelated most of time but not watched anyway. More than ample tea, coffee etc. Brilliant location drinks deal a good plus. Staff were brilliant. Entertainment mixed, excellent singer on the Saturday.

Booked an accessible room for disabled person who has difficulty with stairs. Allocated a room on first floor which is a split level. 2 steps from lift to room!
Fire alarm early Thursday morning. My disabled friend had removed hearing aids and didn't realise he had to evacuate. I knocked hard on his door. He wasn't dressed. Wasn't able to get down stairs. I reported straight to reception who said not their fault. They didn't allocate the room! I said he needs help getting out. Its now a false alarm fortunately. I said you must have a slide to get disabled down the fire exit stairs. No they don't! What if a real fire. They said if you're not present at the assembly point when guest list called, you are not ticked off and assumed not on the premises. That's their procedure.
Hotel is on seafront with some lovely views in the front bedrooms. My room looked out onto drainpipes and wall. Heating worked on Monday evening but cold all week after that.
Food was warm, not hot. no fruit or yoghurt at breakfast. Just cereal and cooked breakfast. Very limited choice menu. Hotel said they they're on a budget. We stayed Monday to Friday. In my room the TV remote didn't work. Wall paper coming off in 2 places. No phones to reception or other rooms. Towel rail cold. Doesn't heat up. Shower wasn't very powerful, really weak in flow. When you ask questions or complain, staff just deny its their fault or make an excuse. So I stopped saying anything as not worth wasting your breath.
It's a little walk along the front to the cliff lift to town and shops such as chemist. But too far for my disabled friend. 4 steps at front. 2 at back. Disabled entrance round the side, wasn'talways open. Said they couldn't change our rooms as fully booked with 3 coach loads who were treated better than us who booked on our own. Do not recommend this hotel at all. I certainly won't be going back.

Rooms ok. Need update but room for improvement. Breakfast fine but dinner not so good. Was with a bus group. The staff nice with one exception. Frankie you need more work on your people skills. The night watch was brill. Overall not bad. Location good for wee walk.
