Liked: Good price, children's playground on site, good location to local activities

Disliked: Very noisy and not policed, asked to sign to comply by the rules to turn music off and be quiet by 11.30 but this was not followed. On one night a group were blasting music and chatting until 5am.

Facilities are a good walk away and there was no hot water for showers or to wash dishes.

On a small field and perhaps too many tent pitches, it felt crowded.

Disliked: You were packed onto a field and each tent was only a metre or two away from the next.
Toilets were miles away and dirty
Hardly any hot water
Rowdy parties going on til 4am and no warden
Staff at reception were unfriendly

Liked: Great park for children. Facilities were ample close to local shops and southport for a day at the seaside

Disliked: The walk to the toilets was to far also felt like they cram to many tents into the field

Liked: Great amenities. We'll stocked shop. Good pub with nice food & not overly priced food. Great kids play area.

Disliked: Difficult to sleep with young children & all the other campers played music outside their tents until the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately there were also police helicopters directly over the field on a number of occasions which woke us up also. Would recommend having a coded lock on the entrance to prevent just anyone from getting onto the complex after a certain point at night.

Super helpful staff at the main counter and any other staff who work here too. Was able to check straight in with no problems at all, could go straight onto the camping pitch and choose where we wanted to stay as it was very easy to understand each pitch.
The grass was cut short and the ground was well looked after, along with all the roads through the site. Streetlights to help see where to walk.
The bar on site is well placed and has a few options for drinks and food too which is a great option to have while staying here.
Showers located with toilets and there are a few of each so it doesn’t get too crowded.
A well placed site, only a short drive to local towns but there isn’t any great need to leave as there is everything on site including a very useful shop.
Both toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and checked to see if they were needing restocking. Unfortunately the hot water didn’t work our full stay here, I did let them know and I was assured it would be fixed. Was a shame about this especially when everything else was so great.
The laundry room was available all hours thankfully to wash any clothes or wash cooking utensils and plates.
It was a big plus for me being able to park next to my tent on the pitch, with it being a driveway awning but also a tent it made it so much easier being able to park with it all.

Liked: Great family friendly site. Our party had 3 children, 8, 3 and 2, all had an enjoyable experience. The huge playpark was fab for all the children. The toilets were clean and washing facilities good. The pub was friendly, we didnt go at night but we enjoyed a game of pool on saturday afternoon and had a lovely breakfast on sunday. The shop is more than adequate and staff were helpful. No issues with noise at night. Went for a stroll down the stretch of canal. Will definitely be returning.

Liked: Lovely little campsite, a group of us with kids ranging from 1yr old to 14yrs old. We stayed for 2 nights 2nd - 4th August.
Play area was brill for the kids. We ate food in the pub on the 1st night as we had rain and it was lovely. Staff were super friendly too. Shop on site which was useful. There is a launderette and wash room for your pots. There are 3 showers in each toilet block which are small but warm.

Disliked: The only down side is there are no toilets on the actual campsite field so you have to walk off the field and down near the pub.
