Came in this morning at 8am. Had eggs Benedict with salmon. Quick and friendly service (I am the only one in here). Delicious food and big portion size. Right Infront of the bus station so perfect place to wait for my bus to arrive.

My visit appeared to be poor timing as a large group had just finished their meal and they seemed to be struggling to deal with the orders. I understand that it can happen and whilst I sympathise with the staff I don't think bringing a cup of tea should've been such an issue. Once my food arrived it was perfectly acceptable . It was certainly better than a wetherspoons breakfast . I shouldn't have been charged for my tea as it arrived towards the end of my breakfast

I’m impressed with the portions sizes, the food was absolutely delicious and good quality, staff very friendly! I highly recommend this cafe, if I ever come back to Chelmsford I will be going there again!

Absolute rip off. £8.50 breakfast was 1 slice toast, 1 thin slice (slice!) tomato, 1 thin slice black pudding, 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs and a few mushrooms. I tried to swap beans for hash browns - they charged me and it didn’t include tea. They also forgot to put the hash browns, black pudding and tomato on the plate. Photo shows the breakfast as I received it, I had to take it back to get the missing items. Total cost? £12.50. When I complained the boss said “I don’t accept your complaint”.

Everything about our Sunday morning breakfast was amazing! Service, ambience and music were excellent and the food divine!! All freshly prepared and very generous servings. Highly recommend the Shepherdess breakfast and the Turkish breakfast!!

This was my first time at the Shepherdess Cafe and the first time having menemen. I was extremely impressed with the dish and will definitely be returning soon to try out more of the menu. Would highly recommend!

Best place in Chelmsford for breakfast, food is fresh, atmosphere great, reasonable prices. Very clean, newly opened, friendly staff and owner.
