A fantastic little getaway in a beautiful location with the friendliest hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! The cabin comes with a hot tub and cosy wood fire, and you are greeted with shepherd's pie and fizz - which is a delightful (and delicious!) touch.

Couldn't recommend this place more for a relaxing couple's break; we definitely hope to be back!

If you're looking for stunning views, a romantic getaway, this is the place!! Only 40 mins to the lakes, and there are lovely local villages are nearby. Bathroom is pretty tiny but if you're planning to get our every day and see the sights then it's no problem. Hot tub is really decent, they've gone above and beyond here to make it a truly luxurious stay. Even left a bed, bowl, towels and poo bags for our dog! The shepherd's pies and fizz were a nice touch too. Overall simply fabulous, 10/10.

An absolute find of a place. So peaceful and beautiful. The homemade pies on arrival were a lovely touch. The owners were warm and friendly. Definitely will return. It was well worth the 7 hour car journey from Devon.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The shepherds hut was lovely. Warm and very clean as was the hot tub. Brenda the owner was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely countryside.

First off I would highly recommend this place. Peaceful place for couples.
Room service only got 3 stars due to the fact its a cabin with a hot tub so the owner doesn't bug you every 2 minutes which is good.
Only criticism of the hut is the cobwebs inside. But it didn't detract from the place. Hot tub was clean and very warm.
The only negative about the area is that there's nowhere to eat out... everywhere had stopped serving food after 3.30 until later in the evening. Shame. But like I said I recommend the accommodation

The 'Delight' is brilliantly placed at the edge of the lake..and on the clear nights we had, had an amazing view of Venus (lit up like a spotlight), Jupiter and through the trees, Mars..all from the hot tub!
A great relaxing weekend, chilling in the tub and by the fire and throwing in a few sites..which there are loads of.. recommend a nice walk around Talkin Tarn (smashing shortbread in the tea shop)

Actually name is High Rigg located at Hayton and there is number of detached apartments like vintage wagon style studios for couples with lean to hot tubes with different names as Shepherds Delight, Shepherds Sunset, Shepherds Sunlight, Sunrise, Hideaway etc. Some of them with very high privacy level. Friendly owners, nice view.
