Me and my girlfriend had a virgin experience voucher and chose this hotel to spend the night. We had a lovely stay! The grounds are very impressive and the building itself is beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and modern with a sort of industrial look to it. We had breakfast in the morning which was great with plenty of choice. We then went to the spa where we spent almost 4 hours in the various pools saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. The outdoor, heated infinity pool was amazing! Especially as it was a beautiful autumn day. It was very expensive but worth it.

The afternoon tea today was absolutely perfect. Every item was completely delicious and beautifully presented. |The best part was the staff making everything feel wonderful. We were looked after and taken care of exceptionally well. Attention to detail by the staff of dedication to our experience exceeded all expectations! |We celebrated my sister’s birthday and it was my daughters first ever afternoon tea and all of us had the most wonderful time. The room we sat in was exquisite- full of light and beauty and very clean. To finish off, an autumnal walk in the woods in the grounds of the Hall. |Thank you for a truly amazing day!

Got this as a gift from my father in law who passed away in February. Expected a lot, paid almost the double to what the website asked us to as we were using red letter days. The first room 118, was smaller than my kitchen. It was so bad and had views of manky roofs. I being mentally disabled, got a panic attack and had to leave the hotel immediately. My husband asked them to change the room but it wasn’t up to the price that we paid.
Anyways moving to food. Just one request, we are onion intolerant, and both the days, they added onions as garnish which could be avoided easily.
The food is so overpriced. Drinks like coke, £6/pint is quite a lot.
Spa is amazing, infinity pool was great, the facial was refreshing.
The view was very beautiful but they should improve on their prices and services.
Won’t return for food or stay but maybe for a spa.

Lovely experience today. The facilities were clean and tidy. |The outdoor pool was warm with spectacular views. |The 50 minute elemis back neck shoulder + facial was one if the best ive had thanks to Jasmine, very relaxing! |Food and drink was great too.

Good time in the evening spa, enjoyed it. Food was lovely had a caeser salad. Would recommend the chipolatas. Only thing different is the indoor pool was cold compared to when I’ve been previously but other than that was lovely. Defo will be back

We went on a half day spa day to Shrigley Hall.||The outdoor jacuzzi was really warm on a cool autumnal day with lovely views over the Cheshire countryside. We used the indoor pool and sauna which is situated inside a rather gothic looking location as this hall used to be a seminary. The lighting was subdued as you swam in not a very large pool with jacuzzis round the edge.||We had two treatments. A facial and a back massage which was excellently carried out by Farzy in my case.||After the treatments, you could relax on large sofas.||We had a light lunch overlooking the outdoor jacuzzi.

An overall lovely experience but massage let it down massively! |Arrived with a friend had lunch chilled in the spa.. all good! |Now time for the treatment.. back massage and facial! |My back was crying out for a good massage but only had oils being rubbed all around my back!! Very bizarre!! I was waiting for her to start but sadly it never did, I just continued to have oils rubbed around!!|I did mention you can be firmer I won’t break! And I never complain but was to no avail. |I did ask afterwards, do you not do deep tissue massages anymore? To which I was told this wasn’t one!! |But looking on my booking (afterwards )it says a deep tissue massage!!|It’s the only but that let it down for me!|Now I understand these girls work hard but I left extremely disappointed! It’s certainly not what I paid for!

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience considering it's supposed to be a 4-star hotel. The room that I was given was outdated, in need of maintenance, and quite dingy. The doors weren't shutting properly and it did not make me feel secure to stay there as a solo female guest. The walls were paper-thin and I literally heard someone using a toilet next door whilst brushing my teeth! The food and service were OK.
2 stars for the grounds and views which are beautiful.
