Matt was lovely to work with. He has a relaxed and reassuring attitude that made us feel comfortable about all being done for the wedding. Matt was flexible about what food was served and when. He put together a yummy bbq of burgers and hot dogs for lunch, and a great charcuterie spread with a lovely cheese tower and incredible homemade pork pies in the evening.

Matt was quick to adapt when some of his employees had to cancel last minute due to illness and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day.

Unfortunately, despite previous communications about dietary requirements via emails and phone calls with Matt, a couple of guests did not have their dietary requirements met and didn’t have a meal at lunch time. The guests ended up going to buy some food and Matt’s team helped grill it for them. This was disappointing, but the team was adaptive and apologetic.

Overall we were very happy and would recommend Matt for fresh local home cooked food served with a relaxed and friendly smile.

I honestly cannot recommend Shropshire Hills Catering enough! The food was not only INCREDIBLE, but Matt was just so friendly and accommodating for the whole time we were there. I'm vegetarian (and food options can sometimes be slightly hit-or-miss), but the food Matt served for each meal was just soooo flavoursome and delicious. On our last night, Matt made such a huge effort and threw us a little party with a fire-pit along with dinner and drinks (with the help of his lovely son George) and it was such a brilliant evening. 10/10 and would highly recommend ❤?

Really poor service and food at our wedding, was promised home cooked food as sampled however this just wasn't the case, puddings came out of a box, veg was poor quality too, sparkling wine for toasts didn't reach all of our tables and very poor service when it came to cutting our beautiful cake. Manager Matt has attempted to reimburse us by reducing our bill and offering us a complimentary meal however nothing will bring back our special day, nothing will save us the humiliation we felt on that day, luckily everything else went as planned and to a very high standard.

Booked for our wedding for a hog roast and seemed very professional in the lead up to the day. Unfortunately, they were late to arrive meaning some guests missed out on food. Some of the food was also cold, and they forgot to bring the disposable cutlery which made the potato salad, coleslaw and other sides as good as inedible unless you used your fingers. I've tried to seek a partial reimbursement after the wedding but it seems that once they have your money they aren't quite so quick to respond to emails and I've given up. I wouldn't recommend to friends.

I would like to thank Matt and his team for the lovely food at my daughters wedding 13th Aug 2022. Despite the incredible heat they provided exceptional service. To the point Matt offered to change the starter from soup to a cold starter due to the heat. The aero cheesecake was to die for. Pork crackling was perfect, no broken teeth ? Thank you all so much for helping create a perfect day .

Matt and his team did a absolutely brilliant job of feeding both our day and evening wedding guests. Matt was brilliant start to finish, not only with the food but also helping to source and recommend other things we needed for our day! His staff were lovely and friendly too. This was the first time we have used Shropshire Hills Catering and they exceeded our expectations. The best Hog Roast, burgers and sausages we've had. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food are still talking about it, we will definitely be hiring them again in the future.
