We went on holiday near Bampton for a couple of weeks and found out about this coffee shop. The moment we tried their coffee and cakes, we knew we would be returning whenever we could find the time! The owners are warm, welcoming and friendly, and always made us feel at home. We can honestly say they make the best coffee and cakes we have ever had - we can see why they are the best in Devon! We look forward to hopefully returning on holiday next year and we cannot recommend enough.

Lovely warm bright homely country feel with original art and other homemade works to purchase. The coffee superb and all homemade delicious cakes. Made for you baguettes with interesting choice of fillings. South African husband and wife team, and when very busy, which it can get, especially on weekends, service is a little slow. But otherwise a friendly atmosphere and engaging. Lots of magazines and guide books to read. A must stop when visiting Bampton.

Wonderful service and such a nice atmosphere. Debbie and Steve are both a dream. I spent the day there working on my laptop taking calls, and we had brilliant conversations. Their choice of New Ground coffee is both ethically conscious and also super tasty, Steve has skills! The cakes and light bite bagels are both super tasty, they have great options for gluten free and vegan. There is plenty of seating and nice toilets. This is the best coffee shop in Devon. If you are from London like myself , you will feel at home in Six on Castle

A cafe in Brampton that stays open in the afternoon... Wow. Yesterday (Friday) my partner and I wanted something to eat. Thankfully we found this quirky cafe, with great coffee, bagels 🥯 and delicious homemade cakes. Very warm and friendly owners too. Thank you, nice to see someone who knows how to make a good barista coffee.

Such a great cafe with lots of character. Space to park bikes on site which is unusual and really helpful. Staff are super friendly and it is also open on a Sunday. Best cafe in Bampton.

Fantastic coffee shop attached to a beautiful Georgian guesthouse. Visiting Bampton and came in late in the day, hoping for a quick coffee and we received a very warm welcome. Top quality coffee and cake in an extremely well thought out and homely space, with fantastic furniture and art. Came away with some small local craft items too, which was an added bonus. Definitely recommend!
