The roast dinner was lovely and we were so excited to see butterscotch tart back on the menu. We, however, we were extremely disappointed with what was served. It was nothing like the butterscotch tart you used to serve or we have found elsewhere. It didn’t look particularly appetising, it was so dark and heavy. Please bring back proper butterscotch tart.
As usual the staff were helpful and friendly.

Very nice place overall. Food is very good, nothing to complain about. Having said that I just didn’t feel the wow factor. The quality of meat could be better and hence the four stars. The service is usually good but was bad last time, which is not always the case. I would go again.

I took my wife and kids for dinner. We can't go out on mother's day so this was for a pre mother's day dinner.
Way over priced. The liver and bacon honestly made my wife feel sick. Fatty under cooked squiggly mess.
Service slow
Not much to like.
It's dog friendly which is fortunate because the food is dog friendly too.
I came here a few years ago and it was lovely. Shame.
Nothing given as compensation so no tip given.

Update - it's 230am she's being sick. Great!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for ruining our weekend. She's got food poisoning. You NEVER undercook liver like that!

All the food was excellent. Super kid-friendly with big tables. The best part was the gluten-free fish and chips. My husband was so happy to eat something he hadn't had in years.

Lovely pub this for beers and ambiance but food today was a let down. My wife says her fish and chips were very god but two burgers scored 5/10 and the pork tenderloin was very poor, tasteless meat and sauce with dry, crusty re-heated mash. Disappointing.

It's a pub that's hidden -but that's what makes it so unique! Food was delish and it came sizzling, table service was great. 🙂
