After a long drive we rocked up to Smeaton farm and we where delighted to see such a beautiful big house. The stunning views and all the wildlife that's around. We where greeted at the door with a warm welcome and shown to our room. Our Room was warm and a very good size. But the bed oh my I didn't want to get back up off of it as it was so comfortable. We had the privilege to speak to the owners and they are a really lovely couple. We only stayed 2 nights but I really wish we had stayed longer. The building itself is lovely and it just feels like a home. And it's that feeling of home that will bring us back and also the food 😁 especially the hogs pudding. The Cornish have kept the hogs pudding a secret for many a year but now it's out there make sure to try it.|Overall we had a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back. But until then thank you very much for having us.

Lovely, spacious and comfortable room perfect for staying as a family and the farmhouse breakfasts are amazing!
We stayed as a family, 2 adults and one teen in the Wisteria room which was lovely & spacious for 3 of us. We found Richard and Sarah to be very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble - from recommendations for places to go and finding us some board games one afternoon when the weather was horrendous. The breakfasts were amazing, fabulous quality and choice and truly set us up for the day. Our daughter was so pleased to be able to feed the lambs, donkeys and alpacas - it made her stay a memorable one. A rural location but very easy to get to get to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and lovely walks along the river at Calstock.

Very last minute booking and very friendly and accommodating. Stunning room with huge bathroom, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was amazing, best ever. Great quiet location but close enough for us to enjoy an evening in Plymouth. Thank you, highly recommend and will return hopefully for longer next time.

We have just returned from 2 nights away at Smeaton Farm B&B. The place was immaculate and very clean. Sarah greeted us on arrival and carried our bags to our room, which was really appreciated. On the first night we had a brilliant evening meal which was Roast Pork and we really couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was plentiful and really fresh, and Richard one of the hosts came to chat to us about the farm afterwards - again really appreciated. Our only negative is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Back in the area visiting relatives, so we decided to stick with what we know and opted for Smeaton Farm having last stayed there back in 2018. We were welcomed by Sarah and shown to our room Weeping Ash which had great views over the garden and the grounds. They have some donkeys and goats in the far part of the garden which we enjoyed going to meet, and a nice table and chair set on the grass which we were offered to use. |Lovely comfortable bedroom and slept like a log. Breakfast choices were made the night before, opted for the full English based on our previous experience, and it did not disappoint! Richard made the time to come and chat with us over breakfast which we appreciated. |The lanes around the B&B were typical countryside roads, to be expected if staying on a farm though ! Perfectly passable day and night. ||We will be back! Thanks very much.

We came to Smeaton Farm for a couple of nights away, and what a wonderful time we had. We really wanted to escape the city into the countryside. The views and the countryside were totally relaxing. Richard served brilliant English breakfast. We have already booked to come back!

What a gem! We spent a few weeks travelling in the UK and this was by far the best b&b we stayed in. Richard and Sarah were so accommodating, and the food was incredible. Sarah even made us a G&T to have in the garden which was extra special. We hope we can return one day!
