Staying overnight before a flight, the hotel location is excellent - a few minutes walk via from the North Terminal via covered walkway. ||Check in was welcoming and informative, however little recognition as All Accor Gold. I also later discovered a preauth had not been taken on my card meaning I could room charge to accrue Accor points. The hotel was quiet yet no upgrade was provided. I later queried this and was advised I had been upgraded to a superior room (my booked room, inward facing to the atrium, but a few floors higher) - I note the Accor mobile app lists superior has having an “airport view”. ||The room was comfortable and well maintained, with the usual Balmain toiletries in the bathroom. Sleep quality was good, albeit those who dislike softer mattresses beware. Whilst rooms appear to have been refurbished recently, the mattresses do not appear to have been replaced - a standard thickness one just having a thick soft mattress topper added. ||During our stay only the Chinese restaurant and bar brasserie) was open. Given the size of the hotel the seating in the bar was completely inadequate. As for the food, we opted for pizza and a few sides - it was tasty however arrived cold. On providing feedback, the lady manager was excellent. ||In all, convenient for a night’s stay but not quite up to scratch when compared with other Sofitels I’ve stayed. ||One final note, I originally booked in July. Checking shortly before our stay in December the price had reduced by 37%. I travel frequently and such a huge variation for a large chain hotel is rare. I would therefore suggest doing your research to ensure you are not being overcharged - as at our original rate the hotel was certainly not worth it.

Great relaxed place to stay when you have an early flight. The staff were very informative at check in and friendly throughout the hotel. We didn’t have breakfast as up too early but dinner in the Mediterranean restaurant was lovely. Also cocktails in the bar area were a great way to start our holiday

It was the first time we used this hotel, as we had an early flight so travelled down the day before. Even though it is not the cheapest, we also the car drop off in the car park. I have never used an easier system, after parking up from the directions given, the car was handed over within two minutes. When we returned after a weeks holiday, it was there waiting for us without us having to call them.

The hotel was lovely, warm, comfortable and very friendly staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and comfortable, with no noise as there was triple glazing. The restaurants and bars were excellent, especially the Thai restaurant with a beautiful lamb curry.

We are going to use this hotel again when flying from Gatwick, 100%.

I liked the details and overall look. It had this calmness feeling. A big plus is the location. Being at the airport basically is so nice. Not having to wake up long before check-in and maybe be stuck in traffic is a huge bonus.
The only thing that comes to mind as something I didn't like, was the very thick down over-mattress. It was too warm.

Much better than I expected. Very clean modern hotel with great bars and restaurants. We had a prestige room that had complimentary minibar, fruit, tea and coffee. Also complimentary use of the 8th floor lounge, drinks and buffet food included|Room, bed and bathroom all excellent and very clean.|Enclosed tunnel link straight into the north terminal. We were flying from the south terminal and the transit train is right at the end of the link tunnel|Highly recommend so convenient for both north and south terminals

I had a pleasant stay at the Sofitel Gatwick Hotel. The location is convenient, being directly connected to the airport terminal, which made my travels seamless. The hotel offers a good variety of restaurants, catering to different tastes. While the gym is modest and could use some improvement, the overall facilities were satisfactory. The staff were very helpful and attentive. A solid choice for transit travelers looking for convenience and comfort!

A little confusion at checkin but got a lovely upgrade to the Luxury room which was comfortable and very clean. Loved the bathroom.||The separate shower is good.||We ate at the French restaurant and the food was excellent. Really delicious. Not cheap but value for the quality we had.||All the staff we encountered, Gilroy, AMU and the rest are a credit to the hotel.||We look forward to our next stay with you.

Hotel was in the perfect location, walked straight into the terminal. Check in was easy, staff were very polite and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
