Six friends enjoyed a lovely week at Somerton farm cottage. We cycled over from the mainland and used the farmhouse as a base, exploring the island on our bikes. We had safe secure storage for our bikes at the farm. We made use of many of the islands cycle routes and enjoyed using many of the bridleways and minor roads.

Stayed here for a week and it's a really nice place to be (and dog friendly). There is plenty of space for 8 people and it's got all the amenities you'd want. The foosball table kept the children occupied for hours. If you like cooking while on holiday (something that most people are looking to get away from!) then the kitchen essentials are there but I wouldn't call it extensively equipped - plenty though for the basics though. The outdoor facilities are nice with picnic tables and a decent outdoor dining table. Views over the surrounding countryside are great.

It's pretty convenient for most things: there is an Aldi just around the corner and Gurnard Beach (shingle/pebble beach)/Cowes are only a few minutes drive away.

My friends and I had a beautiful stay in the farm, the host were super! the ladscapes were stunning, perfect location and definetly worth the price. Suitable for friends and families with children or pets.

Really wonderful! Nice and bright. Well equipped. Great location very close to town. Yet in peaceful countryside also. Met the friendly horse in the field next door, called "Apple", who likes eating apples and my woolly jumper!

My family and I are just completing a weeks holdiday stay at Somerton Farm and recommend it very very highly. The house will accommodate eight people in residence. There are four bedrooms, two lounges, a dining room seating eight and a fully equipped kitchen. One of the bedrooms is en-suite and there is a modern bathroom looking after the rest. The atmosphere at the farm is so comfortable and welcoming.
The garden is totally enclosed and so is ideal for dogs, who are welcome at the farm.
Somerton is ideally placed to access all of the islands attractions and a petrol station is just down the road.
I am totally happy in recommending Somerton Farm to all who want a holiday on the Isle of Wight.

Wonderful property large farm house surrounded by beautiful gardens with plenty seating & diff areas to sit wonderful for children & dogs well everyone beautiful views all round peacful yet so very close to cowes town center.Kitchen well equipped everything u need all in full working order.Lounge was fab plenty seating all comfortable lots space plus a small lounge ideal for playing games reading quietly plus equipped with 2nd TV.Bedrooms all large lots storage very comfortable lovely views, bathrooms are fabulous again storage spotlessly clean well maintained.Alot of work & thought has gone into this property making it comfortable & people friendly although dogs are welcome here don't let that put u off if not a doggy person as farm house was beautifully clean & kept.I love the garden whilst cut lawn area & seating there's also the wild countryside look in one area very nice.Owner had very good contact with us from start to finish.Lots to do around you although isle of wight is quite small so easy to nip all over wherever u decide to stay.You won't be disappointed with this place wonderful so get booking for next year
