I recently visited the spa for the first time, and overall, it was a worthwhile experience. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the facility was clean with a good variety of options. However, there were a few issues that marred the experience.

First, the jacuzzi jets kept turning off without any way to switch them back on, which was annoying as I was trying to relax. Additionally, the fountains in the pool were not functioning, and the window in the main sauna was quite dirty. While the spa itself wasn't overly crowded, there was a grown adult screaming for no reason, which was quite frustrating . It would have been helpful if a staff member had reminded guests to be more considerate of others.

Despite these issues, I still enjoyed my time at the spa and hope they can address these concerns in the future.

Oh, this place is absolutely amazing. The spa is incredible with so many different spaces with different health benefits. My favourites were the lemongrass steam room and the snow room!! There were two different sized, extremely hot saunas, a salt room and a tepidarium. There was a pool with string different jets and a dark pool at the end with a surprise!!! That dark pool needs a railing! Just incredible. Loved the whole experience. We had room service and breakfast both of which were delicious and the staff were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. All in all, it was an amazing experience. Can't wait to come back.

Any chance of a family spa day?!!!

Lovely spa and amenities! We had a great time at the spa and were able to relax. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
However it is rather expensive at £90 per person. The steam room had a funny smell meaning that we were unable to use it however the other facilities were ideal and well kept

Overall an excellent spa, but a few touches could elevate it to truly be 5 stars including:
In the changing area...
• the amenity drawers were not very well topped up
• there was no hand/body lotion
• only 1 towel per person, small hair towels would be a good touch (plenty of hand towels but too small)
• the conditioner in the showers felt watered down, leaving our group with rough hair
• no bags to put wet swimwear in afterwards.
In the spa area...
• the jacuzzi and main pool were too hot to comfortably spend long in, the main pool in particular would benefit from being slightly cooler
• unable to spend more than 3 minutes in the small sauna when the heat/steam jet came on for a short burst and felt like we were being burned and made a hasty exit.
The other rooms were lovely, particularly the steam and salt rooms.

Well what can I say ……. Today had a most enjoyable relaxing Spa pampering in this wonderful Blytheswood Hotel Spa. After spending time enjoying the Thermal pool, Sauna, Steam Room and the therapy relaxing hot stone beds, I was taken to have a facial, head massage back and Shoulders by Therapist Mellisa R, who was very friendly and informative .Mellisa gave me one of the best facials I’ve had in a very long time. I left feeling totally relaxed and skin glowing , so Thank You Melissa ❤️ and also my Son David for today ❤️ and finished off my treat with a lovely glass of bubbly 🍾

This spa cancelled on me at the last minute today totally ruining my birthday plans. I had this spa day booked for months. Whilst I understand that therapists can be sick, not having back up therapists or contingency plans for such events is very unprofessional. I explained that it was my birthday and that made no difference, my day and plans for it have been totally ruined. I won't be reorganising or booking again.

Really disappointing experience at the Blythswood. I booked this s a gift for my husband and I for a relaxing day and we were in and out in just over an hour. Small circuit thermal experience rooms but no where to just chill out and read in a quiet space . It was noisy, busy and cramped with only around 6-8 beds for people to sit . Definitely not worth the price paid and there’s much better Spas for half the cost.
