My son and I had half a day at the Spa at the Dunkenhalgh. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. This was the second time we had been this year. First was a full spa day. Both experiences were great and we came away relaxed. Fully informed of what was causing our aches & pains and recommendations on how to reduce them. First time if I remember right Chloe was my therapist and today I had Annika. My son could not remember the ladies names as he was so chilled out. Definitely will go again. Thank you and to Ella the Spa manager

What can I say...pampered from the minute we set foot into the hotel spa... 40mins of relaxing massage then onto a lovely swim in the pool.
Teas and coffees on hand plus water... the 5x sauna room where great...and the lunch came in a large black box that was the healthiest I'd eaten in ages...
Loved the hotel so much we have re booked again for the spa and 're booked a 2 nights stay in the hotel.
We just didn't want to leave so we decided to eat dinner at the hotel.
Was not disappointed the food was lovely...only for one little bit I won't mention...but we did get 2 glasses of sparkling wine to go along with our lovely meal.

I had my complimentary treatment today after my swim .Stacey did a great job it was amazing. She was very professional and it was so relaxing. My face felt so soft and my skin looked refreshed. The massage was wonderful so relaxing. Many thanks To the Manager Kieran 😊

My husband and I became members in September last year purely to use the pool, they had a couple of problems with the boiler soon after joining , the pool was closed for a week whilst it was being repaired, since then it has gone downhill the roof is leaking and dripping into the pool, the tiles above the waterline are dirty, the pool area is looking very shabby.
The reception area has a small bar but the coffee machine is often out of use, they don't have any snacks to purchase. We've been very disappointed and won't be renewing our membership. It's a shame because this place could be amazing

We signed up to the gym as we assumed it would be kept to a high standard as it is part of a large hotel. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The swimming pool and showers are in desperate need of renovation. The changing rooms and pool are in a general state of disrepair and there is mould in the showers. There are issues with temperature regulation in the showers as well. The disabled facilities are also lacking. There is only one cubicle for those with disabled needs. Unfortunately the people utilising the cubicle are often inconsiderate, leaving their things all over this area even though they aren’t using it at that time and will be in the pool for the next 30-40 minutes, thus preventing others from using it in the interim. The changing rooms can often get quite busy from those using the spa as well. I emailed about the multiple issues and never received a reply. We have since left this gym and joined Nuffield Health where the changing rooms and showers are immaculate and there is plenty of space and plenty of larger cubicles available for those who need it.
