Stayed in Garden Cottage at Little Span farm for a week. Had a great time. The house is exactly as described. Clearly had a refresh recently and we found it very comfy and clean. The decking area at the back is an absolute sun trap. There is every amenity you need. It’s not huge, but perfectly comfortable for a few adults or a family. Excellently located for local scenic walking and access across the island. Recommend heading up the hill behind the farm to the communications tower. Multiple public footpaths in all directions up there. Great dog walking. You can get anywhere in 30 to 40 minutes and the south coast beaches are very close. Superb communications from the owner, she also provided loads of advice on where to go. We had 2 dogs who were made welcome. It is a working farm which adds to the charm. Loads of sheep and a horse at the end of the garden. Recommend the Bon Church Inn at Bon Church. A real pub, like they used to be, with fantastic food. Only 10 minutes away. Also the George of course in Yarmouth to treat yourself to a fab lunch on their terrace. All in all Garden cottage a perfect bolt hole from which to explore the island. Especially if you have a pooch or two. We will be back.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the above cottage. Although small it was perfect for us and our little dog. It had everything you would require, wonderfully situated. The welcome pack was a particularly lovely touch. ||The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area and made suggestions of places to visit on the island. ||We will most definitely be back- it’s a little gem of a place.

I spent a week in one of the self catering cottages, it was perfect for my requirements including sufficient parking.
Being late autumn, the hearing was on and it was cosy.
The cottage I stayed in had a smallish but sufficient kitchen with a fold away table and an upstairs large bedroom, the stairs are a bit tight and steap, maybe not suitable for all.
It is pretty well off the beaten track in a quiet rural area surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are several town and villages within 10-30 minutes drive.
If you are looking for a quiet location I would recommend it for consideration.
Excellent value for money.

Just got back from 2 nights here and wished we had booked for longer. The location is near Ventnor and convenient for most major things on the IoW. It's a real working farm, mainly run by the owners - we were warmly welcomed and the kids were offered the chance to feed two lambs - they jumped at it of course.||||The accommodation was an old cottage with very thick stone walls, the decor was a bit tired, but clean and the layout was a bit topsy-turvy (kids sleeping downstairs, bathroom downstairs and main room upstairs)||||Breakfast was served in the main farmhouse conservatory and was whatever we wanted and freshly cooked to order - yum!||||The owners have 3 dogs so if you don't like them - be careful.||||All in all and really enjoyable and charming stay. Highly recommended

Coming from rural Shropshire we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Little Span Farm as part of our cycle tour of the IoW. The children loved the dogs and feeding the lambs was a real highlight. ||||The breakfast was tasty and well cooked.||||Felicity was a lovely and interesting host and treated us all very well. Was also very understanding when I lost the front door key!||||We enjoyed leaving the bikes for the day and travelling into Ventnor by bus. ||||PS A bit disappointed not to find any spiders..

We stayed in Shepherds cottage. It was small but adequate for two people. Wroxall is 10 minute walk away. A general store and a good Pub/restaurant . Plenty of footpaths and fantastic views further up the hill. It is a sheep farm so there is some noise but we found the lambs lovely

I'd had reservations about staying here having read other peoples reports, but need not have worried. ||||This is a working sheep farm run by the wonderful Felicity, who works tirelessly to ensure her guests are well looked after. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast hot and freshly cooked.||||The farm is set in a tranquil valley just outside Ventnor and is the perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful break.||||I will definately be returning soon and have recommended Little Span Farm to all my friends and family.

My husband and I stayed here for a fortnight and enjoyed the peace and quiet immensely. The owner of the establishment was very friendly and full of information as to where to go on the island to eat and sight see. The farm was busy while we were there as it was lambing time but it was wonderful to watch new life appear each day. ||We stayed in one of the cottages and everything was there as appropriate. A comfortable stay and a good place to recouperate and unwind.
