Wow, what a place! We stayed here as a group of 6 adults, three children and three babies. There was more than enough room for everyone.

We were treated to lots of snow when visiting so the views from the living area were exceptional, as were the walks near the property. The interiors were beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings by the log burner.

The hot tub was always warm which was amazing. And the views of the stars in the evening made it really special.

John was very helpful via text with any questions we had. He also left a wonderful welcome basket. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The farm cafe at the end of the road is much nicer than anywhere we found in Aviemore. Well worth a visit.

Spey Lodge is a lovely spacious property located in tranquil ancient woodland within easy walking distance of Aviemore and the nearby activity centres of Rothiemurchus. The property has comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, and a large living room come diner that looks out on to beautiful woodland. Spey Lodge provides an excellent base for exploring the Cairngorms, and the walks that led directly from the house into ancient woodland were spectacular. Spey Lodge was definitely a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Highly recommended for those needing to escape for a while, but not too remote to be isolating.

Just spent the most fabulous long week-end at Spey Lodge. So much to do literally from the doorstep - miles of walking, biking, swimming - in the most spectacular scenery. Accommodation wonderful too.
