We used Splinters Caterers for our wedding at The Great Lodge, Great Bardfield in May this year. They were honestly fantastic throughout the whole process! The tasting was brilliant and really useful and most importantly the food was spot on. Their communication was super throughout the planning process and they were really helpful with planning and responsive to changes. Sally and Marie were so kind and helpful on a very stressful day before the wedding when I met them at the venue. On the day they were brilliant, all of the staff were so professional and friendly, ensuring our guests and ourselves were happy with everything and we had really fantastic reviews of the food and service!

Splinters catered our wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn on 22.02.25 and we were beyond happy with the service they provided. Every element of our 3 course wedding breakfast and evening food was top notch. Our guests were very complimentary of the delicious food. The fact that we served them all a vegetarian menu that they were so happy with, despite the majority of them not being vegetarian, means even more! We had such a great choice of meals to choose between. We were given detailed and helpful information from the moment of booking. Splinters staff were professional and courteous. Thank you for being a part of our special day and serving us such delicious food.

We had Splinters cater our wedding back in February and they were absolutely amazing. From meeting at the tasting right up to the big day. The food was great and we had lots of compliments from our guests. Hot and large portions! The staff were friendly and helpful and were understanding when we needed to make last minute amendments a few days before the wedding. They done an amazing job at making sure our guests were topped up with drink throughout the day! Highly recommend Splinters to anyone getting married.

The service was incredible and our guests commented on how lovely all the food was. We feel it was the best wedding food we have experienced. People absolutely raved about the pie and the desserts were incredible. Everything was hot, perfect, and of a very high quality. I have had so many friends and family say how great the food was since the wedding and we continue to receive compliments on our day. Faultless ! Splinters catered at my nieces wedding at Smeethan Hall Barn (see review) canapés, drinks, 3 course wedding breakfast, chicken wraps and pizza in the evening. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful & very smart. The food was beautifully presented and served. First time for me trying out the service they offer and they served up around 130 hot & delicious meals. Goats cheese bruchetta was so good, there's no photo of it !! Vegetarian in filo, chicken and a beef dish, were served as the main and wow the trio of deserts - every girls go to ! Recommended....most definitely and I will use them myself too.

We used Splinters Caterers for our October wedding at Houchins and couldn't fault them. The food was great and we had a number of compliments from our guests after the meal. The service was seamless; everything was served hot, prompt and correct to each guests' pre-ordered choice. Staff were professional, efficient and made sure to check in with us regarding any questions or additional service requirements during the meal - we had two guests unable to attend and the staff ensured that we had the choice to serve these portions to another guest on the day or have them boxed to take home. All-in-all, Splinters Caterers helped to make our wedding day perfect and we are glad we chose them. Thank you!

We hired Boxted Hall for the weekend for my 40th birthday celebrations in March and it was just fantastic. We had a Venetian Banquet on the Friday night where Sally and her team creating a simply superb banquet for us. WE had gorgeous charcuterie boards to start and then a stunning Italian inspired menu for mains & desserts - it was so good and all the guests were raving about the food. We were well so taken care, food was beautifully presented, warm and all dietaries covered seamlessly. I could not recommend Splinters enough for weddings and events

Cannot recommend splinters enough. Splinters did all of the canapés, wedding breakfast and evening food for our wedding and it was all amazing. From the start the team were so helpful and made the ordering process very clear and easy for me. The food was absolutely delicious & everybody commented on how well fed and good the food was!
