We went to this hotel for a spa day.
Amazing friendly and professional staff throughout the hotel. Great jacuzzi overlooking the gardens, massive pool and sauna. Lovely grounds, they even catered for me with gluten free options, we has a lovely lunch. Our spa treatments were amazing.

Beautiful location, nice view from room (executive room). Room itself was nice, but not particularly 'executive'. Staff were faultless. Food was very tasty but not that special or adventurous. It needed a little more pzazz.

It felt like the hotel needs some money investing in it for a bit of a revamp. The shower in the room was terrible and the TV actually felt like it was an add on after being forgotten. Non matching furniture on the balcony with no table. Whilst the room was nice it was very overpriced. My review would have been significantly better if the price had been ¾ of what it was. £235 was way too much for that room and room facilities.

Our recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing due to the very poor service we received.

Taxi Service:
It was virtually impossible to book a taxi during our stay, and the hotel staff were unable to assist us in arranging one. This caused significant inconvenience and stress, particularly on the day of our departure when we spent two hours trying to secure transportation to the train station. Despite calling every number on the taxi list provided by the hotel, we barely made it to the station with only two minutes to spare.

Breakfast Options:
The only breakfast options available were an English breakfast or cereal, which was quite disappointing. Although the situation improved slightly on Monday with the introduction of a menu, it still lacked vegetables and fruit, which are important components of a balanced meal.

Dinner Menu and Pricing:
There were no prices listed on the dinner menu, making it impossible to know the cost of the meals. Additionally, the waitstaff did not provide any information regarding the prices. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and makes it difficult for guests to make informed dining decisions.

Service Quality:
The waitstaff appeared to be young and potentially inexperienced, and they did not give us the attention we expected during our meals. This applies to both breakfast and dinner situations.

As if all this wasn’t bad enough, when I politely tried to address these issues via email after our stay, I received some of the rudest responses in return. The overall experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

A nice Hotel with excellent Gym, Swimming Pool & Spa facilities. This reflects in the price so make use of the facilities while staying. The rooms are a little dated, my partner said "it was like staying in her Grannies back bedroom!" Comfortable, but could do with an uplift of decoration and bigger beds. The staff were all very helpful and polite and the food was very good, a lovely three course meal was on offer at a very reasonable price. Enjoyed our stay.

The front desk staff are helpful and friendly. The room and bed are comfortable and clean.
I had booked twin beds, weeks before but got a double. After being informed by email that it had been arranged.
Only 2 mains sockets in the room and they are behind the TV. Very difficult to get to and you had to plug the kettle in here, which I don't think is very safe.
Outside swimming pool, not in use (June). But you could use the indoor pool.

Exceeded expectations. Great for price. Excellent location and facilities. Room was clean and we cancelled our meal out in Wareham to have dinner in the hotel and glad we did because the food was great. Fresh and tasty.

Better than, say, camping but incredibly dated. Double bed barely big enough for 2 people. Good breakfast. No lift to some of the rooms on first floor, no bathrobes/slippers provided for visiting the pool which you share with the locals, who have a membership to the facilities making it peak time all day. Standard room at £165/night feels extortionate for what you get. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

If youre after a unique hotel stay then this is certainly it.

It gives off strong, When cigarettes like silk cut adertised on TV, cadbury milk tray guy was fit, flakes were naughty, Chris de burgh, Bergerac, retro early 90s vintage romantic, white shirt with a big collar and cuffs, hairy chests showing of course, blind date, through the key hole, vibes galore.

If u could have a listed status for interiors then this should be the place. It's got that 80/90s mum and dad retro style. The kind of classy interior that my parents dreamed of. Fleur-de-lis carpets anyone? It feels old but it's well kept, like staying in a victorian manor but it's an early 90s one. Even the gym equipment is vintage 90s, it's a time capsule of a hotel.

Good service, very relaxed, wierd at first but it has a charm that you fall for. Food quality and portions are immense. Lovely surroundings.

Only negatives are The bedroom carpets do need replacing and the mattresses are sunken and uncomfortable. Shower pressure is also retro... low lol. If the smaller details can be taken care of regularly i think this place has a tonne of potential.

My biggest suggestion, Embrace your retro vibe even more, serve drinks from years ago, have retro treats in the rooms, put old TVs in the lounge areas. Really embrace it.
