When we arrived at the site it was so friendly from the reception staff to the other guests. The toilet facilities are clean and well cared for, pitches very good size, grass well cared for, amazing views, lovely long dog walks and a well stocked bar with competitive prices (in fact quite cheap) |I could go on forever but if I make it out to be too good I will struggle to get booked next time 😂😂|No where is perfect but this is pretty close.

Liked: Large pitches, toilet, sink and shower all in a large room, heaters if needed, bar area was friendly and welcoming. Great dog walking track through woodland.
Children's play area looked great.
Whole site immaculately maintained.
Pub has good prices.
Small shop in reception with essentials.

Disliked: Having to pay for WiFi

Liked: Very clean, brilliant dog walk, spectacular wild life on your doorstep, very hospitable staff.

Disliked: The roads leading up to the site from the A68 were butt clinching when towing a caravan there. No dogs in the bar, so rainy days couldn’t go to the bar

Liked: Clean tidy site set in a quiet location. Staff were friendly & helpful, It was nice to have the option of being able to visit the on site bar / restaurant during our stay. Also the check out time of 12.30pm was a big bonus.

Liked: Despite being just 15 minutes from Hexham, the site felt incredibly remote, and wonderfully tranquil.

A helpful email and map from the Site management on the day of arrival advised our pitch location in advance.

The campervan pitch (with electric hook up) were very spacious, and importantly flat. The shrubbery between the pitches created definition and boundaries (helpful when travelling with children).

The toilet and shower facilities were excellent. Individual rooms with a shower, toilet, sink and chair (I like that to put my stuff on).

The Cafe/Lounge felt like a mix of a small clubhouse, restaurant and living room. There were people in there who were clearly regulars (owners?) and very welcoming to us.

We spent some time relaxing in the snug area on the lovely chesterfield sofas.

The site was very quiet in the evening, and throughout the night. Just what we were looking for.

Opposite our pitch was a fenced in football pitch, and a play park. I’ll definitely be back with my younger child too.
