First time visiting Hebden Bridge and wanted a brew before walking around so popped into this warm and friendly little cafe.
Got a table straight away inside and decided to try the breakfasts as well as a chai latte. I ordered the maple bacon pancakes which were nice though had a little too much maple syrup over everything - I would've preferred if the syrup was on the side so I could pour the amount I wanted (just an idea). I'm also not sure it was real maple or a cheap syrup.
Otherwise, the place is charming and the staff were pleasant and fast serving the food. The decor looked familiar, and I remembered it from an interior design show a few years back, though it looks a little dated now.
I would go back for the hot drinks and maybe some cakes which looked nice.

I come here a lot for coffee, views are good from the first floor. Ordered soup this time (£6). Tasted great but quantity was not: the bowl is normal soup bowl size but half as deep so it seems a decent serving but it's actually not. Felt like a bit of a rip off. Shame.

The food was terrible! The jacket potatoes we ordered were lukewarm and far too fluffy suggesting they had been in the oven too long or reheated. To top it off one of the knives given to our group was filthy from previous use. Other than the staff and decor, not a good experience.

Good place for a coffee, can't comment on the food. Deducted a star as I'm a coffee snob and it wasn't the best I've had. Cakes look good. Would return.

I can't rate the food because I only eat lemon drizzle cake and drink coffee there. I'm disappointed that mocha coffee is served in glass cups bought at bargins. When coming to a cafe, I pay not only for the coffee to be made but also expect a certain setting like ceramic cups. But I definitely recommend this place, it's atmospheric.

Not over impressed. The cafe is in a great location in the heart of Hebden Bridge. Prices for drinks seemed expensive at £2.20 per can of cola. They do food, but don’t do chips? This makes their menu rather limited as I do like a sandwich with a side of chips, but hey, crisps were a substitute. Breakfast served until 12 - why? Do the breakfast gods cast a spell on you if you eat breakfast after 12? The sausage seemed cheap and lacking flavour and I could have soled my shoe with their bacon. Will give the place a miss on future visits to Hebden Bridge as I think there will be better places to eat - sorry.
