We only stayed for one night to save a long drive home. As soon as we checked in we were shown to a beautiful room which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the on suite bathroom.
The owners were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay here so memorable. We were treated to a fantastic breakfast after a good night sleep in the comfy bed.
We left feeling like David and Paula were friends and will definitely stay there again.

We stayed with David and Paula for five nights. Their guest house was highly recommend to us. We in turn would highly recommend it to anyone. We couldn't fault it in any way. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were wonderful.
We will definitely return. (Sept. 2019).

We were visiting Plymouth to check out the university, and we are so glad that we found Squires Guest House to stay in. Paula and Dave are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. They provide a delicious cooked breakfast, as well as a choice of cereals, etc, and keep you topped up with tea and toast. You can tell that they are experienced guest house owners. The location is perfect, because it is central to all of the different areas of Plymouth that you could want to visit. Our one regret is that we weren't staying an extra night, or we would have caught Dave singing in a club just over the Torpoint Ferry. We shall no doubt be back.

Squires is located about five minutes from Plymouth City Centre. My fiance and I came to Plymouth for shopping and decided to book into Squires as I was housekeeper here several years ago (before current owners took over) We felt very welcome by Paula and Dave when we arrived and after a chat we were shown to our room which was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little soft for us personally but the shower was good and we had all the facilities we needed including the complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc and we're aware that fresh milk and extra tea etc was available on request. A trouser press and hairdryer were provided as were towels, flannels, shower gel and shampoo. There is a TV and alarm clock plus we took advantage of the free WiFi. We are about to go for breakfast which you can chose from cereal, yogurt, fruit, fresh juice, tea and coffee and traditional English breakfast. There are also lighter alternatives and toast and preserves. Lovely stay, lovely people and we will be back.

Stayed here the night before my wedding.
Looked after very well by the owners Dave & Paula.
Lovely room, comfortable bed [I even managed to get some sleep] and en-suite. They helped calm my pre-wedding nerves and sent me off with an excellent "Full English" breakfast. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience here, the owners are lovely, they made us feel very welcome. The room looks exactly like the pictures we saw when we booked the hotel, clean and cosy. I highly recommend it, you will not regret it if you book a room at this hotel.

Top quality rooms. Everything you could ask for. We have stayed in a lot of places and this is one of the nicest. The hosts where welcoming and very helpful. We are now planning to stay here again on our next trip.

Lovely service, parking outside at £2 a night(local council). Stayed during lockdown, owners were fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely stay again when returning to Plymouth. Also town center well within walking distance.
