Another delicious, delightful and super helpful stay with Chris and Janine! ||I was excited to return to SB this time around with an offer from the vet school. As a mature student; they had so many tips for me, showed me around various neighbourhoods surrounding Nottingham and SB and helped me feel much more familiar with my soon to be new home! I could not have been more grateful - I was so honoured they took the time to help me and go above and beyond when they did not have to. They explained the way the transport options work, picked us up and dropped us off at the tram a couple times, the uni hopper bus and the EMS train station. They clearly are adored in the community, and rightfully so - they introduced me to other locals and even more vet students. ||For anyone considering courses at University of Nottingham’s SB campus I highly recommend staying with them. Especially if you are new to the area. I have not had better hosts anywhere on any other trip I’ve ever taken! ||And of course the delicious full English breakfast, the homemade marmalades, good quality coffee, generous wine, beautiful sunroom and gardens, soft towels and quality bath products never disappoint!

I don’t know how Janine and Chris could get any less than 5 stars! In an age where everyone asks for 5 star reviews for every little thing these days, Chris and Janine truly deserve it - 10 stars if I could.|I stayed with them as I toured the nearby vet school at University of Nottingham and they offered so much helpful advice on local transport options, culture, driving and traffic tips, places to go, and even connected me with a couple vet students they knew, as their parents were regulars at their b&b. My mom and I opted to have dinner with them a couple nights in addition to breakfast, and their food (and wine!) 😉 portions were so generous for what we paid. Breakfast times were flexible based on what we needed for the day and we loved their cozy lounge spaces and beautiful gardens. I feel that I left with two new friends who would be happy to help me if I moved abroad. Our stay with them was very special.|Of course we cannot forget about the Westie mascot, Hamish! He’s the cutest little canine host. So sweet, loved his cuddles and added to the warmth and charm of our stay. Even if you’re not a dog person, don’t worry - he’s quiet and very well behaved. 😊|I have a lot of videos but didn’t take too many photos - wish I had more than the two below but here is the outside and one of Hamish at the top of the stairs when you walk in.|Chris made great breakfasts and even got me to try black pudding which I loved! And Janine’s homemade marmalades and jams were so much fun to try.|Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back!

We had a really great experience in B&B, Chris and Janine were kindhearted and do their best to make your stay comfortable. The room was supremely comfortable. The accommodations were clean and neat. The food offered was tasty home made. Chris makes one of the best omelets I have ever had.
It is a lovely home and they made us feel completely at home. Not forget to mention Mr. Hamish (their adorable dog) who always added funny flavor to our stay
For the location, it is close to the university (about 15 min walk) which was convenient for us. However, not that much variety of restaurants or places to visit in the surrounding area.

Brilliants hosts, totally accommodating especially as it was near midnight when we arrived. Rooms and beds very comfortable, welcome tray, toiletries, everything was immaculate. The breakfast menu was both expansive and delicious. We could not fault this first class b&b.

A week's stay!! Wonderful. The house is as clean as possible, all the facilities pristine. It is such a nice area, very relaxed and perfect for disconnecting from the routine. Chrys, Janine and Hamish were very welcoming and amazing hosts...We could not be happier with our experience. We are both originally from Spain and it is the first time in a long time someone has made us feel like we are back home. Definitely a place for people to visit again.

An idyllic place to stay! Beautiful property, lovely location, delicious breakfasts, and such welcoming hosts!

It felt like a cross between staying in a boutique country hotel and a dear friends house. Chris and Janine were so kind and we enjoyed lots of lovely touches, from cuddly toys on the bed for our 3 year old daughter, to gin and tonics in the guest lounge for us once she was asleep!

Special mention for Hamish their wonderful dog. Our daughter is very cautious of dogs, but Hamish is so calm and gentle she loved him!

We are already looking forward to booking another stay in the future!

We have just returned from this amazing B&B - we immediately felt welcomed and at home in this beautifully decorated home. Chris & Janine are wonderful welcoming hosts, our room was just lovely with a fabulous view and little extras and treats to make us feel well and truly spoiled. The breakfast is amazing and perfectly cooked with the best homemade toast we’ve ever had!! Hamish was an absolute sweetie and we would’ve taken him home if we could!! Thank you so much Chris & Janine for a lovely short stay and for the lovely welcome you gave to us and our daughter Freya - will will definitely be back!

A beautiful B&B with lovely hosts. The rooms are comfortable and appointed with care. Breakfast is delicious and the common eating area is exquisite. The owners and hosts, Janine and Chris, take great care to make sure you are comfortable and are excellent guides for the surrounding area.
