Greatly enjoyed our stay in Norwich over the new year. Hotel is very welcoming. Told it is being modernised but no work interfered with our stay. Very centrally located. Really nice staff. Very good value for the money. I woudl definitely come back and stay here on my next trip to Norwich

We decided to book a. Table for the opening night of Ortus who are running the restaurant at St Giles House Hotel. It was a really great atmosphere when we arrived as they were also hosting a Swing Night, with lots of people looking amazing in their vintage regalia! We had drinks in the bar, which is beautifully furnished before heading through to the restaurant for our meal. Taylor, who was front of house was brilliant and very professional. The food was fabulous and we spent several hours at our table enjoying our meal, drinking wine and catching up with friends. It was really wonderful not to be rushed! A great first night for them and we would definitely return!

As has been said a few times - worn and grubby. The room was not clean, with stains on carpet and on walls and flooring. Don’t really want to add more. The staff were however very nice and the breakfast was excellent and the location is very good and parking working well.

The location is great.
The hotel is certainly overpriced. Really dated. I had to ask to change my room as it smelled and was dirty. The receptionist who was also a housekeeper was very nice. She changed the room, no problem.the bathroom as very dated as well. A bit depressing. I am not coming back!

It was unfortunate that when we visited the hotel there was a great deal of renovation going on, so we were unable to use the dining room, and I believe the main kitchens were out of order (being renovated), The bedroom was lovely - very comfortable beds and extremely clean. It was unfortunate that breakfast was not up to scratch - I'm sure this was because of the alterations.

I thought being a 4 star Hotel would be a lovely experience. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the shower, which had mould and the tiles were dirty, so I took pictures to show at the reception lady so they are aware and next morning they gave us a complementary breakfast which we were Thankful.

Perfect. Everything we needed for a pre-Christmas treat together. Gorgeous decor, lovely staff, clean, warm and beautiful room. Really central for exploring the city on foot and parking so we could leave the car for the duration of our stay.

Stayed for two nights on a Beer Expeditionary Force visit. Extremely impressed with location, staff and room. The car park directions were very clear and helpful. All in all a top rated hotel which l would not hesitate to stay at again.
