A lovely building, thoughtfully renovated. We had a large bedroom, comfy bed and breakfast was excellent. Only small complaint would be the speed of service at breakfast. This wasn't an issue for us but could be if you're on a schedule. That said the food was freshly cooked and worth the wait.

A great find, met our needs perfectly. We wanted somewhere to stay for 3 friends coming in all different directions before going for a day spa at host cross hall.||||Location was perfect. Very easy to find, good parking. ||||We had a triple room, did look different to the photo we booked online, but it was great, very comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant, nice choice.||||Good value for money.||||I would really recommend it, all three of us would.

We felt very welcome at this B&B and would have loved to stay longer than just 1 night!
Very friendly and attentive staff, great spacious room with comfy bed (and huge bathroom!), and fabulous breakfast. Great location, within easy walking distance of the centre of town and the cathedral. Cannot find any fault in this place!

We got married at St John’s in July 2024, we wanted an intimate wedding and not to have the usual wedding breakfast, St John’s were excellent from our first visit and went out of their way to give us the day we had in mind. The food we had was amazing, all our guests commented on how fabulous it was. All the staff were so lovely, going above and beyond to ensure all our guests had a good day. We stayed overnight and the bridal suite was perfect and the breakfast the following morning was delicious. St John’s is a beautiful venue and we have only wonderful memories of a day that was exactly what we wanted.

Me & my wife found this wonderful B&B in the heart of Lichfield to stay at following an evening out. It is ideally situated close the shops, bars, restaurants & the wonderful amenities of central Lichfield. The room we stayed in (Peak) was very comfortable with everything you'd expect from a modern hotel room along with many original features (with it being situated in an old stable block). The breakfast we enjoyed the following morning was equally as fantastic with some of the best scrambled eggs I've tasted!! I highly recommend St John's House & would absolutely stay there again!

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at St John's House a couple of weeks ago. Every room at the venue was decorated beautifully from the drawing room, reception rooms and outside areas. The bedrooms were all beautiful decorated and each one was unique. The St John's room was perfect to get ready in with plenty of space for me and all my bridesmaids.
The food was delicious with all dietaries requirements met, the food service was efficient and all the staff working were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The whole afternoon and evening ran very smoothly thanks to everyone's hard work and as a couple we felt relaxed and could just enjoy the day knowing the team had everything under control.
The location was perfect as our guests could walk to the church and there were plenty of hotels within walking distance for non immediate family who were unable to stay at St John's.
Thank you to all the staff for making our day so incredible.
Highly recommend.

From the moment we found this hidden gem for our wedding reception, Danielle and the team have been perfect in every way. This hotel is exactly what you want to find when you think of a boutique hotel. The house itself is a grand town house and every inch is classic. I love what they’ve done with the furniture and dressings, jugs of flowers and rich colours.|The high tea was plentiful and delicious, clearly home made the savoury’s and cakes were fresh and delicious.|We sat in the sun outside in the pretty courtyard and enjoyed our coffees. |Friendly, competent hosts, this was the nicest afternoon.|Would love to stay for a weekend.
