Im conflicted as of how to rate it. It is a beautiful church full of kind passionate people who believe in what they are doing. But this is hardly Christian.

They have a lot of wonderful activities: morning prayers, food banks, children groups, community lunches. They do a lot for ecology. They are welcoming and nice.

But. They refer to God as Her, their readings weren’t from the bible (one was “new version” of psalm 23 talking about solar panels etc), their altar is for some reason on the side, they preached about social justice and ecology without using bible references or talking about Jesus.

This is Very progressive church. If you are leftist and want to try going to church or you just look for community - this will be a great place. If you want traditional Christianity, you come from Orthodox, Catholic or traditional Protestant circles - you will be shocked, this won’t suit you.

Everyone in this church makes you feel so welcome and part of the churches family! Used to go regularly, but sadly moved away. When I do go back on occasions, the same warm and friendly welcome is present. Wonderful choir and sermons. Worth travelling to. You will not be disappointed and will return.

I visited St Luke's for a Vox Holloway choir performance and had a lovely time. The building is clean and has a mix of modern / traditional decor. They have decent facilities including a kitchen and a chill out room with sofas etc. There seems to be a great sense of community - it's a very nice place.
