We traveled as a family: our son, daughter-in-law and 5-year old granddaughter. The hotel is stunningly beautiful and rich in history. Our two adjoining rooms on the third floor were quiet, light-filled, spacious and comfortable; the breakfast offerings in the Booking Office were varied and delish. Our granddaughter enjoyed the 2 two-hour (free) sessions offered daily in the spa pool for children, as well as the thoughtful attention from the staff at the hotel. The location provided easy access to multiple train lines and at the end of our 5-day stay, we easily made our way to the Eurostar for the next leg of our journey. In general, we found that the professional and attentive staff made this stay even more special. Our sincerest thanks to Sangram, Nela and the other incredible staff in the Booking Office restaurant and Guest Services - you made our stay truly memorable!

The room was excellent, featuring a comfortable layout and modern amenities that made our stay enjoyable. The building itself boasted beautiful furnishings, adding a touch of elagance to the overall atmosphere. The staff were truly great; they were not only kind and welcoming but also incredibly well trained. On the other hand, we did notice that the breakfast service and check-in process could use some enhancement. The breakfast offered a great selection, but the service was bit slow, which impacted the overall dining experience. Similarly, the check-in process took longer than expected, causing some delays upon arrival. Improving these aspects could significantly elevate the overall guest experience.

I stayed at the hotel multiple times in June and July 2024 for business. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect right next to a number transport options and the food is delicious ||I stayed in a number of different room types and found the loft rooms on the upper floor to be the best as the ceilings were higher. On my first stay I was placed in a room with twin beds and a bath tub which wasn’t ideal so be sure to ask for a king room if that’s your preference ||Being an older hotel I noticed that the air conditioning around the hotel and in the rooms was varied and the elevator to the rooms was a bit of a scary experience at times

A lovely old building in an excellent location. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and very helpful if needed. The rooms are spacious and clean although they're probably getting ready for a revamp as the decor and corridor carpet etc. are starting to look a little tired. We had breakfast in the old Booking Office bar/restaurant which was excellent and included with our room tariff. We will be back.

It was my first time staying at this hotel and the stay was excellent . The friendliness and service of the staff was very good nothing was too much trouble and in the current climate especially in London good staff are hard to find, the training that the staff must have gone through reflects the great customer service that we received. The Bar service and cocktails were excellent. |The breakfast was freshly cooked to order , hot and very tasty .|I mentioned that it was my birthday and I was sent a bottle of wine to my room and also received a happy birthday plate and dessert, so a big thank you to the management. |Well Done everyone ||I will be coming back!

Myself, my wife and another couple arrived on the Friday for a birthday trip to the capital. I cannot fault the check-in process, all staff were great and although the room was underwhelming the setting of the hotel and the decor are exceptional. We came down for breakfast in the morning, it started well and we sat at our table in the old ticket hall. The setting is stunning and the welcoming member of staff pleasant and professional. The table was only set for 3 and the we were told that someone would be back shortly to set the 4th place. We then sat and waited, we were chatting so no big issue initially but after 30 minutes I decided to go and quietly mention that we had not ordered any drinks or food etc and that we still didn't have the 4th place laid. Apologies were made and food order taken. We then sat for another 35 minutes as we were slowly bought out the components of our drinks order and the cutlery set for the 4th place. I literally had to ask repeatedly for every single individual item down to glasses, fork, milk etc. 15 minutes after that and our food still had not arrived so I asked to speak to the supervisor, he first of all could not be located which I find very strange considering they were facing a busy and clearly badly organised breakfast service, I heard 4 other tables complaining during this period so we were not alone in our frustration at the experience we were facing. The manager finally arrived at my table and I explained what the issues had been, that we did not have our food and that the experience to that point had been disappointing. He just waived his hands around saying they were busy and they were trying their best and what was he supposed to do about it etc. I must concede this wound me up even further, and I continued to point out faults with the process thus far. Whilst I was talking to him our food finally arrived and explained that I would rather eat the lukewarm breakfast I had waited over 1 and a 1/2 hours for than listen to his very weak response to my complaint. His attitude was dosgraceful, muttered something under his breath and shuffled off like some sulking teenager! I understand things can be busy in that environment but they were not obviously understaffed, and even if that was the problem, it can be managed by some regular updates and a bit of courtesy. Standards start from the top and are filtered down, this was clearly a misunderstood concept and our experience at breakfast is some of the poorest service I can remember in my entire life and in my mid-forties I have obviously experienced my fair share. When you charge over £400 for a room for the night and £26 for a breakfast then it should be perfect, it was far from that, it was in truth barely acceptable at best - I shall not be rushing back.

If I could say 6 stars I would!
I chose the Renaissance Hotel as a surprise stay to my husband-to-be the night before our Civil wedding as it is such a special hotel and so conveniently located to get anywhere to and from London.
The service was impeccable! Dearest guest relations, Irene, went over and above to not only accommodate us but make our stay extra special! Nothing was too much.
The breakfast was well stocked and had such an assortment of things for all tastes! The spa felt like a gorgeous 'secret', super magical and such a bonus to our overnight stay.
Thank you Irene and the team for everything! You were such a dream!? Don't wait, book book book, you won't be disappointed!

We had booked 5 nights for this hotel. On the third day we cut our outing to the city short because of the rain. We came back around 3 in the afternoon soaking wet. Some guy from the hotel stopped us at the main entrance and said you couldn’t go in here; hotel guest only. I was taken aback. Why did you assume I was not a guest to the hotel? Just because I didn’t look posh with a nice dress? There were two restaurants in the hotel. People were going in and out to the restaurant, and for checking in and out of the hotel. Why did you stop me? The grandeur of the St. Pancras building seemed to have got to their heads.||After some back and forth, we finally got in. But the whole encounter left a bad taste in my mouth. For the many years I have traveled, I have never been stopped at the door of a hotel and questioned. Marriott at St. Pancras has certainly left an unforgettable impression by its pursuit of posh clientele.
