Host is friendly and accommodating. Facilities are clean and well-provided.
My partner and I spent 3 nights there and had a great time. We didn’t have much qualms over the location as it’s quite an accessible drive to the nearest co-op.

The views of the starry night are incredible with zero light pollution too.

Do check out Saltburn for a less crowded, more vibrant area than Whitby.

Good value short stay in Phesant Lodge. Lovely inside but unremarkable exterior. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. I know the weather hasn’t been wonderful this summer but the heavy, bulky duvet was too much in July, we sweltered!
Small secluded rear patio is a sun trap and was appreciated in the lovely weather during our stay.
The lodge is spacious and as I’m currently needing to use a wheeled walker, it was good to have enough space to move around safely. All on one level with just a small step up from the drive and another step into the shower.
Interestingly the smallest, lowest toilet I’ve ever seen!
An exceptionally quiet and peaceful location. We’d certainly return and recommend for an inexpensive break.

Brilliant location not far to walk to get into the heart of staithes. Lovely place we had a brilliant few nights and days here. Lovely welcome pack on arrival which was an added little touch. Thank you.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay here in drakes lodge. The lodge was absolutely spotless and so cosy. The only noise we could here was the sound of the beck running! It was absolute bliss and just the break we needed. The only downfall for us would be the extremely steep hill going down to the park as this is the only access from the main road. We managed to walk up and down it but someone with mobility issues would struggle. Overall I would recommend to others and we will definitely be back thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here and I think the first thing to mention, is don't let the outside of the lodges put you off. They look old with the colours on them but a lick of paint could transform them to look alot more modern. You spend your time inside the lodge and ours was fresh, bright and modern. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious, with a door leading to the enclosed courtyard, ideal for our dog. Bathroom very spacious but I found the shower to be lacking in pressure and struggled to get a constant heat, but sufficient to get clean. The open kitchen, living area was nice. The site is set down in a valley and access via walking is a little steep for infirm or elderly people, but if you take your time you will be fine, after all your on holiday so why rush. Couldn't get a phone signal in the lodge at all from two different tariffs, but WiFi was good so used whattsapp for communication. The site itself lends itself for access to a local co op or the village for supplies. But just down the road you have some very nice places to visit, Saltburn, Whitby etc.

We stayed a few weeks ago and loved the accommodation. Quiet site and as we used the car the steep hill wasn't a problem. Every village we visited had a steep hill! Kim very helpful.We would certainly return.

Very clean throughout no issues, perfect if you don't want wifi, so so Very quiet if you want a romantic place to go this is the place to go, and Kim the owner was lovely, such a lovely location to spend time away and relax would recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely and clean good WiFi and phone service bumblebee lodge is very spacious been to staithes lots of times first time here Kim is wonderful definitely stay with her again the hill is a bit of a pain but there is a bench half way up more fun coming down thanks see you soon
