We loved the Hotel. It has such a beautiful outlook. We had a dinner bed and breakfast voucher for one night and it was very good value. We very much appreciated the late check out which meant we had a very leisurely morning the day we left, enjoying the grounds once again. We loved spending time in the Hotel gardens and spent time down at Stanton Park with its lake. We enjoyed a coffee on the terrace looking out over the lovely grounds. The dinner was good. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast where we could chose the items and the quantity. At all times the staff were very attentive and very friendly, and this makes a big difference. Our room was a bit small. We hope to return another time and we would upgrade to a bigger room. Unfortunately when we were there the access to Stanton Park was blocked from the Hotel due to a water leak, I believe, but we were able to drive to the Park. I believe that this is just a temporary thing, and next time we go we hope to be able to walk through the gardens to the Park with its lake. Stanton Park is a 74-hectare country park and Local Nature Reserve. However we had the benefit of being at the Hotel during lambing time, and spent a lot of time watching the baby lambs skipping in the field just infront of the Hotel!

From the very start me and my husband were excited for our 1 year wedding anniversary stay. We were escorted to our room with help with our luggage to be shown the most beautiful room we ever stayed in. A total of 2 nights breakfast and dinner booking. Spacious, clean and modern with a very inviting standing bath onlooking the grounds and view of the lake. Comfortable king size bed, walk in shower and so much more. All staff were attentive, welcoming and busy keeping the hotel in order. Breakfast and dinner was good with a variety of choice. There was no wait and no fault, we were really taken care of. I cannot praise Monika enough, the Assistant manager of Stanton house hotel. What a delight to be around, so many smiles and laughs. She couldn’t do anymore for us. So professional and we really didn’t want to leave! We had a family afternoon tea on our last day and Monika couldn’t do enough for us. Even with other guests she created such a positive atmosphere. All the team are a credit to Stanton, from reception, bar, restaurant and cleaning staff. Thank you

Very good service. Monika was outstanding. Very professional and very flexible. She catered for all our requirements. We had a lovely afternoon. The venue was light airy and warm. The afternoon tea was delicious. We visited a year ago and were impressed then so returned.

My husband and I stayed here with our 6 month old baby. We had a Wowcher deal which included £20pp dinner, bed and breakfast. The staff were very helpful when we had to change the date, very friendly and accommodating. We were able to upgrade to a bigger room and hire a travel cot for an extra £25 (£15+£10). The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed a three course meal, and then some drinks in the conservatory room which is beautiful! The grounds are also stunning! Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will return one day.

Comfortable room but let down by not being able to turn the radiator off and the w.c. cistern needed coaxing to work, no maintenance operative available as it was the weekend.
Pleasant restaurant with great range of dishes for dinner and breakfast. Very pleasant and professional staff.
The hotel is set in a wonderful parkland area with lots of walking trails.

Small cosy room with lots of amenities, beautiful scenery around hotel.
We came as part of an offer including dinner, breakfast and late checkout. Both wasn’t a fan of the dinner, presentation was nice but the quality wasn’t the best, especially for the price. Drinks were also pricey. However the buffet style breakfast was lovely and the male staff member welcoming everyone was very nice and attentive. All staff were friendly and the late checkout out was very beneficial.
Great place for a quiet stay away, would consider coming again but would dine away next time.

Loved this hotel, very beautiful building, stunning surroundings. A few things I really appreciated were: the bathroom mirror on the wall next to the sink, so much easier to use, lots of sockets in the room, conservatory was stunning and there were lots of little nooks and crannies to sit in. A lake was in view from the breakfast area with swans and birds. Not close to amenities but great for the outdoor explorer! Bacon and sausages at breakfast, very tasty, one of the best I have had.
