Booked at short notice. An exceptional Sunday lunch. One beef and one lamb perfectly cooked with excellent vegetables and an enormous Yorkshire .Good service from bar and waiting staff. Good value , we will return soon Tony & Sue 🍻👍

Another amazing meal! We stopped by in the hopes we could get a Cote de Boeuf and it did not disappoint cooked perfectly with plenty of extras we did not go home hungry! We love this place it’s our go to for a really good meal! The staff are amazing they can’t do enough for you nothing is too much trouble! Looking forward to the next one!

DON'T ENTER WITH YOUR DOG!!
Half way round a walk decided to stop here for a drink. Dogs are not permitted anywhere inside. Advised I could sit outside at the back as it was "quite warm out there".
I wouldn't have minded but there was snow on the tables and seats with the temperatures hitting a marvellous ZERO! I hope the bar lady stayed nice and warm inside 🙄
Drinks are expensive and a small bag of nuts for £2.20😳 my daughter was offered a 5p discount but even she declined the expensive gold plated peanuts😁
You can keep your peanuts and exclusive profit making restaurant, I'll buy my pint elsewhere!

Had lunch here today. The Pub itself was amazing and a really lovely atmosphere … however it must have been the Chefs day off so they sent in the apprentice/or dishwasher. The food we had was the worst we’ve ever tasted, the Beef Stroganoff was completely tasteless and the Veal Schnitzel was also completely tasteless and cooked and soaked in the most terrible tasting oil. What happened? It cost just over £94 for 3 meals, a pint of Guinness, a half of Guinness and a half of lemonade which would be fine with us if only we could have eaten our lunch. Only the eggs which came with the Schnitzel were eaten and some of the rice and some beef that came with the Stroganoff. When we paid they asked us if we had enjoyed our meal, we said “No, it wasn’t really good at all” We noticed the waiter who brought our meals to us smiling as though he knew something we didn’t. Hopefully they can and will improve as the setting was so lovely.
