Shockingly expensive roast turkey for 17 quid.
It's not that I can't afford it but not from a greasy spoon.
The price wasn't listed but I didn't expect the bill to come to that, I thought at most 13-14 with tea and I didn't even have the pudding.
I can eat a Kings size at Toby's for that price and a drink.
Yes, the portion was big but seriously you could travel and eat in London for that amount of money.
Apart from Christmas dinner, staff are lovely as well as other food items.

Came in with dad, staff were extremely friendly! Welcome you with a smile and they are more than happy to alter the breakfast specials.
Good selection of options with regards to food and bread/toast options.

I ordered a Star 1/2 burger with cheese, and also a Mocha. Both came super quick. I asked for mayo and was served HIENZ.
My burger came with cheese (obvs), lettuce and onion. Super hot, oh my days truly delicious. Burger King eat your heart out.
My coffee was served frothy with chocolate sprinkled on top.
The service was spot on, not in your face.
3* for atmosphere : customers were regularly coming and going but a few people came just to use the loo.
Really impressed with my first visit and can't wait to go back.

I ordered the no.7 breakfast. Food was good enough, service was friendly, everything was OK until it came to getting the bill.
On the board, the price was 6.95. First the waitress picked up someone else's bill and stated my bill was 8.95. But I explained and pointed to the wall and mentioned I had the no.7 breakfast. The owner was there and commanded the bill was 7.95 ( the two waitresses were confused. There was no further discussion or justification. I paid the 7.95 and left. I would have happily paid 7.95 if there was an explanation- but out of principle I will NEVER go here again

I decided to pay this place a visit as I was in the area deciding where and what to eat before I travelled into London. First thing that should be mentioned is that the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a bacon and mushroom toast sandwich and the bacon was well cooked, as requested. I also didn't have to wait long for my order. I'll definitely pay another visit the next time I'm in Purley and would recommend this place to anyone.

Had a tasty omelet and tea in the late afternoon with my mom and it was perfect. The vibe is nostalgic (like an American diner from my childhood) and the food was great. Servers were very kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Really responsible price. Staff is always in attendance to serve you and clean the table before & after you. I truly recommend this place.
