We were visiting the area to attend a funeral in the locality and needed an overnight stay as we all live over 200 miles away. Asked for an early check in so we could get changed after our journey, arrived around midday and Dave the owner was there to greet us with a cup of tea.We we’re three couples so needed three rooms, all were very comfortable and clean. We had some beers and Prosecco with us and Dave allowed us to use the fridge in the kitchen to store these. ||We returned at approximately 9 pm via local cab having already picked up o Chinese takeaway which we ate in the kitchen. We sat there until the early hours which was a great way to end the day.||We had a great breakfast cooked by Dave the next day. We did have the whole place to ourselves which was a bonus and Dave was a good host without being obtrusive.||The accommodation is a little bit out of the way but suited us perfectly, there are plenty of good places to visit within a short drive.

Just had a 3 night stay up in Durham as we were doing some sight seeing and visiting some friends close by. ||What a lovely welcome from the host - Dave, who was friendly and informative throughout. Nothing was too much trouble - he even gave us a lift to and from the local pub one night and to and from a restaurant on another night. On our final night we bought our own food and drinks, and were able to use the kitchen freely, and spent the evening playing pool in the conservatory - Dave let us use his speakers and I even spotted an owl! (My friend says I didn’t but Dave said there have been a few sightings!) ||The house is beautiful, a converted barn, and the surrounding country side is stunning. We had brought our bikes and so glad we did! The weather was lovely and the N1 cycle route is nearby. ||Delicious breakfast - can’t wait to come back!

Stayed at this gem of a B&B for 3 nights for a short break holiday. So glad we found this place as it was cosy, clean and the host Dave was very welcoming. We arrived to a cup of tea and even when we got back late one night Dave was happy to make us a cuppa before going to bed.||Every morning we were treated to a fabulous full English breakfast. We felt very relaxed and that was mainly because Dave was so accommodating. We also enjoyed hearing stories of his many adventures.||We do hope to return again in the not so distant future.

Fantastic place to stay with lovely views across the countryside. Dave is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Had a lovely time and the pool table in the conservatory is a bonus. Would definitely come again. Breakfast is amazing too including tea and coffee whenever we wanted it - great value for money.

We booked this bed and breakfast as a base for the festival hardwick live at sedgefield. We booked the family room for three nights which was a large, clean well equipped room with a large clean seperate bathroom.||The accomodation is a barn conversion set behind a housing estate with great country views. The bedroom was huge, extremely comfortable bed, fresh towels, relaxing. There's not a lot nearby, Durham is about ten miles away and the village of trindom isn't really a village. No shops, no pub, nothing in walking distance, pretty remote unless you have a car. ||However, the beauty of this place is Dave, the owner. Nothing is a bother for him. He cooks you a full englishbreakfast, at a time to suit you||He offers tea and coffee at 1 in the morning. One evening we bought pizza, used the oven and watched netflix in the room.||We ran out of beer, no bother, he had some in the fridge. ||We couldn't get taxis, Dave to the rescue. He drove us to the festival and collected us at eleven pm, drove us back to starshinezz and offered us a coffee. ||Top bloke. ||We spent three very chilled nights here, no stress, no hassle and it was perfect for our needs.||My partner says this was one of the nicest places he's stayed.

My family and I had a very comfortable stay. We were greeted with a cup of tea (perfect!) the rooms are clean and very comfortable.||David was a great host, lovely with the kids and knocks out a top notch breakfast! Lots to be seen within a short distance too.

We booked the full house for a family birthday. Everything was excellent. House was big and spacious, clean, had everything we needed. Dave was at the end of the phone if we needed anything, very friendly. Would definately recommend and return again.
