Booked king room it was at front of hotel very noisy there is building work going on and will be for at least 2 years also windows not double glazed so at 6 in the morning hear all the traffic . above the bed there had been a leak from upstairs not been sorted paint work in room shabby pillows hard or flat. towels very nice and new .toilet to close to sink and hanging off no room to move . shower was big and roomy no mirror by work desk / dresser .mirror near the window no socket to plug hairdryer in . Bins in bathroom and bedroom was not emptied bed just through the quilt over not mopped the bathroom floor never been to a hotel that has never made the bed properly had to ask for towels as there was 2 of us only left for 1 it’s not cheap for 2 nights then to add breakfast on not for us back to are other hotels we stay at won’t be returning

Not a big fan of my room, I was next door to the lift shaft which had a loud vibration noise each time it was used and I had a tiny window high up on the wall, the toiletries provided are high quality as are the items on the tea tray just be wary of the snack prices. If you want a traditional full English you'll need to go out of the hotel I went around to wetherspoons. The staff are friendly and helpful. Even with the lift noise I had a good night sleep I found the bed comfortable and the room was warm

Had a lovely overnight stay here !||Would return and recommend to others !||Close to train station and shops and 20 minute walk to football stadium!||We stayed as there were no late trains after the football .. so glad we did , lovely friendly pub next door which welcomed away fans , only £5 in an uber to the ground ! ||Next morning had a lovely breakfast served with a smileand nothing too much trouble ! Close to shops for a bit of retail therapy before heading back home! All the staff were friendly and helpful!||Yes , you do leave a £50 deposit as there was plenty of goodies to tempt you in the fridge and to stop people taking home the gowns and luxury toiletries ( Molton Brown)||Beds comfy , room temperature fine were offered a heater or fan if you were too hot / cold!||No complaints here - we loved it , Thank you to Stay hotel !

Outstanding. Really spacious room, comfy bed, full length bath, and the cooked breakfast was prepared with care, using fresh ingredients. Short walk from the station. Will stay again!

Spent 2 lovely nights at the Stay hotel and I would definitely return, the great location will be further improved when the town regeneration works are complete. Its really centrally located and staff were friendly and helpful. There was a small issue in the first room we were assigned, it was dealt with quickly and courteously. We were quickly offered anther room, while the staff immediately set about fixing the issue. ||Having seen 2 rooms - both were very nicely presented and comfortably furnished. With a great shower, and lovely Molton Brown toiletries.||Hairdryer and iron were both provided on request. Breakfast was beyond what I expected. Thoroughly enjoyed it on both mornings||We will definitely book the Stay hotel for our next visit to Huddersfield ||

Stayed here for work, to my disappointment.

Horrendous breakfast (not to any fault of the young lad making it), but to the owner for acquiring such horrendous meat.

The place is an Indian themed hotel and it's evident from the awful decor to the really uncomfortable and lack of pillows.

For them to label what they call a traditional breakfast is a complete joke "turkey bacon and chicken sausages", ridiculous.

Avoid at all costs.

I stayed here for business, the location was ideal being in the town centre.

The service was poor, filled with misinformation and lack of etiquette. Upon arrival, I was given the usual check in speech, then I was pressed for what time I'd be down for breakfast, I wasn't sure as I was away with work and the morning could be busy with calls, emails etc. I asked what time breakfast stops serving and was told 10am.

The following morning after getting up, having my early calls and clearing my emails I went for breakfast at 9.10am. Upon arrival I was told that it had ended, but I could have an egg. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

The decor is pleasing, with interesting art on the walls. The room was clean and well presented but as the night went on the bathroom flooring was loose, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the shower leaked a lot.

Me and my husband went here for 1 night for his 30th birthday and it was amazing. The staff decorated the room with birthday balloons and banners which made his birthday extra special. The staff were lovely and very polite. The stay suite was beautiful in every single way, the shower was amazing and the bath was very lovely. I would be staying here again.
