Simply perfect. We stayed in serenity and the lodge was immaculate, views were stunning, location is quiet and peaceful and the site was easy to find. All instructions regarding check in/check out/ sauna instructions etc were very clear and precise with pictures . Slight issue with the barrier on arrival (you have to call a mobile number and if your number is registered it will open) but Adam, the owner, greeted us at the car and the issue was resolved quickly and he was very friendly and helpful. The TV on the patio by the hot tub was a lovely touch.
The only downside was the projector in the bedroom didn’t work very well so we were unable to watch anything.

We stayed 2 nights in the Birch for my boyfriend’s birthday.|The lodge was immaculate when we arrived , easy to enter with the barrier , the view of the lake is amazing , hot tub is perfect temperature and really easy to use , the towels provided are really fluffy & thick and you get plenty of them, a smart tv in both rooms, bed was comfy and the shower had really good pressure. I can definitely say we will be re visiting !! Was nice to say hi to the owner too 🙂 would recommend.

Came here for a birthday weekend and it didn’t disappoint
Beautiful views and the lodge with hot tub was perfect.
Hamper with fresh bread, croissants, orange juice, biscuits, jam and butter and also milk on an arrival was a lovely treat.
Lovely owners who were there if you needed them.
Perfect place for a peaceful getaway

We have recently just visited Steam Mill Lodges, we stayed in Maple Lodge (Pet Friendly) and it was absolutely perfect, the lodge was so clean, the views were amazing, it was very relaxing and quite. We had some very nice days out that was recommended in the welcome pack, the hamper that was in the lodge on arrival was a very nice. The fact it's all self check in was ideal too so we didn't feel like we had to rush to meet someone to get keys. We really didn't want to come home and we are booking to visit again as it was just perfect! We met the owner Adam who was very nice and checked that we was happy with everything to which we was! I highly recommend visiting if you want somewhere to relax and get away from day to day life. The hot tub was perfect temperature and very clean all lights around it which made it feel that extra romantic! Shops and food places very nearby! Internet had perfect connection the whole time. I just can not wait to go back for another week!

Just got back from our stay her in the hazel lodge and enjoyed every second of it! View was lovely and perfect get away for us both. Loads of walks, shops close by and the hot tub was amazing! The welcome basket was lovely and we made use of the booklet with local restaurant suggestions, went to two of them and both were great! Would recommend it to everyone.

The lodge was spotless on arrival and welcoming! The tray with breakfast/tea and coffee essentials was a lovely touch. The lodge was well equipped with all the basic items for cooking/washing and cleaning. Location: a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. Some good pubs close by for food whilst shopping centres are a short drive! The reason I didn’t give it five stars is mainly because the Bluebell Lodge lacked privacy. The hot tub could be seen from the neighbouring lodge and the car park. It needs some strategic planting or further fencing adding! Also the electric igniter didn’t work on the hob. Not an issue ultimately but needs fixing for other guests who may wish to cook.

We stayed here Monday to Friday in the maple dog friendly lodge.
It’s been so relaxing, the lodge came with everything we needed and even got a welcome hamper with essentials in. The views are beautiful and the dog has enjoyed his stay and has felt right at home with the comfortable lodge.
We couldn’t have asked for a better break, the price and location was perfect for us, thank you again and we will be back!

We stayed in the Maple lodge (mon-fri) and absolutely loved it. Plenty of outdoor space for our dog in a very secure garden. Indoor space was nice and cosy and plenty of space for the 2 of us. We loved the hot tub and spent most of our nights in it. To say the week was fully booked we didn't hear anyone, such a peaceful place. Was lovely to be greeted by the owners on arrival. |Was a little sad that we didn't receive our welcome pack but that didn't hinder our stay at all. Only suggestion would be to put a small hose or outdoor shower head in the garden to wash the dogs paws, especially after long muddy autumnal walks. Would deffo recommend and hope to return in the near future.
