Stunning book cafe in a beautiful street in one of the most charming towns in England. Friendly staff and good customer service. However the place is too busy, loud and feels a bit cramped. The coffee was good but the cake was extremely small in size and hugely overpriced. The heart cake was too tough and way too sweet for my liking personally.

Such a lovely coffeehouse in the creative quarters where you can spend an afternoon, sipping good coffee, having lush moist pastries and reading old books! The staff is lovely.

What a fantastic cafe! The service was so friendly and welcoming. The inside and outside seating really charming and the coffee - a tiramisu latte with oat milk - was one of the tastiest I’ve had in a seriously long time. 10/10 - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The fact that the place is always full and there is a long queue tells you everything you need to know about the quality of drinks/food and service.
Suitable for a quick take-away, a study session or a catch-up with friends, the Steep Street Coffee House is a staple in Folkestone and we have been coming here for years.
Only a 5min walk away from the sea, 10mins from the bus station and surrounded by craft, clothing and music shops it is a perfect place for a cup of coffe and a bite to eat.

Oooooh what a wonderful cafe, amazing food (really yummy) and the staff are delightful. The place is clearly very popular. I had to wait a bit for a table but it didn’t bother me as the atmosphere was AMAZING. It was a pleasure just being there

Wow!
What an incredible find.
We had a fantastic iced coffee and then took home cake. The gluten free orange and almond cake was amazing. Highly recommend.

Still amazing, this time we had a mint hot chocolate with coconut milk, fantastic flavour. Took home orange and almond cake as well as the gluten free peanut free bar which was also fantastic the flavour is sooooo good. So nice to have so many gluten free options. Thank you.

This week we went back again and this time there was Halloween style cake (not gluten free) but not to worry the fruit and peanut gluten free vegan bars were still an option and they are still to die for and well worth having. Highly recommend. This is fast becoming our go to place on a Sunday afternoon. 🤩☕🍰

A relaxing coffee place with lots of books to choose from and great for conversations. I tried the biscoff hot chocolate and it was one of the best I have tried! Highly recommend for anyone who loves hot chocolate. We also tried the chocolate cake. It was a bit too sweet for me. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Absolutely love this place.
